Dear Lanise, I am writing to express my disappointment regarding an incident that occurred at Office Depot Store #85 in Irving, Texas, on June 20, 2026, at approximately 5:30 PM. I visited the store to purchase a docking station for my laptop and requested assistance from the store manager, Allen. Unfortunately, Allen appeared to have no knowledge of docking stations. He did not know what a docking station was, where they were located in the store, or which product would support my requirement of connecting two monitors through two HDMI ports. I ultimately located the docking station myself and explained my needs to him. Because the docking station was secured inside an Office Depot locked display case and factory-sealed packaging, I asked Allen if he could open the package so that I could verify its contents and compatibility before purchasing it. Instead of responding professionally, Allen suddenly snatched the product from my hand and began shouting at me in front of another sales associate, David. I was shocked and embarrassed by his behavior. I calmly requested that he behave professionally, but the damage had already been done. It appeared to me that, rather than admitting his lack of product knowledge, he chose to react aggressively and unprofessionally. Although I ultimately purchased the docking station, this experience has left me extremely disappointed. I have been a regular Office Depot customer, but after being treated in such a disrespectful manner, I have decided that I will not visit this branch again and, quite frankly, do not intend to shop at Office Depot in the future. I respectfully request that this matter be investigated and that appropriate action be taken to ensure that other customers are not subjected to similar treatment. The young lady at the print desk was amazing. Switching from English to Spanish flawlessly and all with a happy tone and ready smile. This was at 20 minutes before closing. I told her bravo but I didn't get her name. She made my day and I hope I get to come back soon.
