Coworking provider Industrious finalized a lease agreement in Glendale, taking up 12,000 square feet across two floors of the Masonic Temple at 234 S. Brand Boulevard, a building owned by Caruso. The new coworking space is projected to open next June.

The flex office will provide 17 common area seats and 101 private office seats. This deal marks the operator’s second location in Glendale, the first being located at 500 North Brand, right in the city’s Central Business District, and the 19th coworking space in the broader Los Angeles area.

This is also the operator’s first deal with real estate company Caruso, who bought the Masonic Temple, a nine-story 1929 landmark Art Deco building, in 2015 and revitalized it into a Class-A office and retail space.

“Glendale has proven itself as a strong market for us, and we’re excited to build on that success with this new location,” Natalie Levine, director of real estate at Industrious, said of the deal in a statement.

Industrious’ growth strategy this year included an 18,400-square-foot space at Studio Plaza, a Douglas Emmett property in Burbank, along with a 22,000-square-foot lease at Sherman Oaks Galleria. That momentum builds on a broader Westside push over the past few years: a 16,000-square-foot outpost in Beverly Hills, a combined footprint of about 44,000 square feet spanning Westwood and Santa Monica, and another 19,000 square feet at Watt Plaza in Century City.
