I took advantage of an offer for a tour and to spend the day at The ARC Club in Stratford and almost walked away a member. I was greeted by the manager and assistant manager who were both welcoming and great hosts for my visit. It felt like being in the office but not in the office. What I mean by that is the feeling of focus, buzz, background noise (conversations and relaxing music at a very low level) all the positives of being in an office. However minus some of the negatives, no interruptions, no distractions, full focus and without the added stress if others stress. Kitchen area, breakout area, hot desks, desks with monitors and a separate room for those who pay for a fixed desk all with power points and spacious. Free teas, coffees and herbal teas which gets my vote with multiple flavours. Located around a 5 minute straight walk from Stratford station you have an easy journey there and lots of choice for lunch locations. The ARC Club has a cafe area reserved for members to sit but the general public are welcome to grab a coffee or snacks to go. With job hunting on my mind and no income at present I was tempted to sign uo there and then but finances first and I knew as great as it would be I couldn't justify the spend just yet. However im considering launching a charity and if funding permits I would definitely choose the ARC Club in Stratford as my base. If you are looking for a good space to work, have meetings, hold small networking events and more I would say get yourself down there, pay £10 for a one-time only day pass and test it out. You wont be dissapointed.

A beautifully designed space. Calm, bright and easy to focus. The team are really welcoming and the booths make taking calls super easy. Great coffee. My new go-to spot in Stratford.

ARC Stratford has a lovely atmosphere and I can really see it become the centre of the remote working community in Stratford. The team are welcoming & I am always greeted with a smile!

A good first attempt. It's almost like the proprietor has never visited a WeWork to gauge the competition. While the office space at first glance looks ideal, under scrutiny it falls short of the expectations of a modern office setup . The chairs have no lumbar support or ergonomic adjustment. The desks are static and cramped. The external monitors are low-spec and flimsy, with no height adjustment, and lack a dock, mouse or keyboard. For some reason the ceiling spotlights annoyingly shine directly down onto your laptop screen (see the photos for yourself) while you're sat at your desk. The point I'm making is this is a shared office space clearly in need of a complete re-think, and money, to make it fit for a 21st century remote worker. Sure, it's a great place to sit for a while and flick through Instagram, but actually do work? Not yet.
