The Malin — a workspace operator and business members club — recently announced its upcoming expansion with a new space set to open in the fall of 2023 in Nashville, Tennessee. The brand’s fourth location, in the Wedgewood Houston neighborhood of Nashville, marks its first steps outside of New York, where it has three other established coworking spaces in Soho, Williamsburg and West Village, all of which were inaugurated in a little more than one year.

The Malin will be housed in Nashville Warehouse Co. — the city’s first mass timber building — thanks to a partnership agreement with Adventurous Journeys (“AJ”) Capital Partners. Primarily focused on Nashville’s Wedgewood Houston neighborhood, AJ Capital Partners has developed more than 27 acres of mixed-use real estate in the area. The Malin will join some of the largest and most prominent global companies in the developing neighborhood.

AJ Capital Partners is also in charge of a multi-phase neighborhood repair and development project in Wedgewood Houston. Just a few blocks south of Nashville’s downtown, the creative area provides different types of retail, residential and business spaces for a large pool of tenants.

As the brand’s fourth location, The Malin Nashville will also be its largest office space to date. Specifically, 48 dedicated desks, seven private offices, six meeting rooms and a library will all be included in the 16,000-square-foot area. The Malin supports a wide spectrum of independent workers and small teams with a variety of needs and preferences by providing a large array of workspaces.

The Malin Nashville will debut this year among other upscale hospitality establishments, like Soho House Nashville, Apple Music, Live Nation, Red Bull and the renowned French restaurant Pastis in New York City. Additionally, the 5.2-acre complex of The Nashville Warehouse Co. where The Malin Nashville will be located, provides a range of lifestyle amenities, like open pedestrian areas, an acre of common green space and a fitness center, as well as on-site parking.

In light of the upcoming expansion, Malin’s CEO, Ciaran McGuigan, said the following: “We are incredibly excited to open our first club outside of New York City and thrilled to partner with forward-thinking AJ Capital Partners in facilitating the future of work for the people of Nashville. We look forward to contributing to the remarkable growth of the Wedgewood Houston neighborhood and offering beautiful, functional design in our largest workspace to date.”

The Malin is committed to operating as a club for dedicated, working professionals, and is on a mission to offer an elevated and focused environment that stands out through individualized services and high-touch amenities. Notably, The Malin is able to offer lifestyle management services (in addition to providing both the amenities of a home and the resources of an office) because it caters to a small, tight-knit community with a limited number of members.
