New York-based coworking brand The Malin is expanding west with an 11,000-square-foot location in Park City, Utah, set to open this fall, The Park Record reported.
The space, located at 4413 N. Forestdale Drive minutes from historic Main Street and Deer Valley Resort’s East Village, is being developed in partnership with local restaurateur and real estate developer Mark Shrayber of WorkPCU, LLC. It will feature 23 private offices, 12 dedicated desks, three meeting rooms, 14 phone booths and a members’ café.
Shrayber told The Park Record that the project grew out of his own experience after relocating to Park City five years ago. He found a community full of founders, investors and creatives but no professional workspace that matched the caliber of work being done in the area.
The Malin founder and CEO Ciarán McGuigan said the company looks for communities where thoughtful workspace design can complement how people already live and work, rather than expanding into cities based on size alone. He described Park City’s blend of ambition, creativity, wellness and access to nature as a natural fit for the brand.
The space targets entrepreneurs, remote employees and professionals who split time between Park City and major metropolitan areas. Shrayber said he hopes the space will serve as a home base for locals currently working from home or commuting to offices in other cities, and could help incubate new companies in the area.
