Coworking operator Industrious recently revealed plans for Industrious Capitol Riverfront, an upcoming coworking and flex space location in Washington, D.C. The new coworking space will be situated at Illume — a luxury, multifamily property owned by Oxford Property Group and JP Morgan Global Alternatives.

Slated to open in Q4 2022, the 41,245-square-foot coworking space will provide 530 seats and 141 offices. Specifically, the property will offer dedicated workspaces for teams of more than 20, as well as private offices for smaller teams and common spaces for individuals.

Notably, Industrious’ new coworking space will be entirely dog-friendly, while also offering access to a wellness room, multiple private conference rooms and various events. The space also includes other miscellaneous advantages, such as access to office supplies, daily breakfast and craft coffee.

Illume is located at 853 New Jersey Ave. SE in the vibrant Navy Yard neighborhood with easy access to interstates 695 and 395. The building also features ample social spaces and breathtaking views of the Capitol, in addition to being close to high-end shopping options and several green spaces, such as Garfield Park and the Randall Recreation Center. Members of Industrious’ new coworking office also stand to benefit from proximity to the nearby Whole Foods Market.

Washington, D.C. is quickly becoming one of the top destinations for coworking spaces nationwide. In fact, several new Industrious coworking spaces are expected to open in the near future in the D.C. metro. For instance, a coworking space in Bethesda, Md., will offer 24,503 square feet of shared office space, with further developments underway at 1615 L St. NW and 601 13th St. NW. The coworking operator’s plans to double down on the Washington, D.C. coworking market come after it posted a 31% annual revenue increase, according to a recent CBRE analysis.
