Switchyards, an Atlanta-born company that operates 24/7 membership clubs for remote and hybrid workers, has opened its first Houston location in Montrose at 2901 S. Shepherd Drive. Notably, all memberships sold out on launch day.

The 6,500-square-foot space, housed in the former Buffalo Exchange building, is capped at 250 members. With demand outpacing availability, a waitlist is now open for those hoping to join when spots are available.

Inside, members will find round-the-clock access; high-speed internet; complimentary coffee and tea; soundproof phone booths; a conference room; and a quiet, library-like zone for focused work. Membership also includes guest access and entry to other Switchyards clubs nationwide.

Founded in 2019, Switchyards has expanded into more than a dozen U.S. cities, reflecting the continued appetite for flexible workspaces as many people remain outside traditional offices. The Montrose club is the company’s 31st location with more expected to follow.
