Workbox, a national operator of flexible workspaces, is set to open its largest U.S. location on June 2 inside Chicago’s historic Civic Opera Building. Located at 20 N. Wacker Drive, the new workspace will span more than 68,000 square feet across two floors, marking the company’s seventh location in Chicago and 13th nationwide.

The expansion comes as Workbox continues to respond to growing demand for flexible office solutions in central business districts.

“We have seen an acceleration of demand growth since the beginning of the year across our entire Chicago portfolio as companies big and small return to work,” said John Wallace, CEO and Founder of Workbox.

In addition to physical workspace, members at Workbox – Civic Opera will have access to a broader network of business support, including more than 100 capital and operating partners; regular programming and networking events; and connections through affiliates, such as Workbox Ventures.

“The Civic Opera Building will be our second location in the Loop,” Wallace added. “We are excited to bring new energy and life to one of the city’s landmark buildings that we believe has a lot more potential to become a professional destination”.

Positioned near both Ogilvie and Union Stations, the location is especially convenient for commuters traveling from Chicago’s suburbs.
