I recently hosted a large event at BlankSpaces Venice location for 250 guests, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The venue charged $1,000 per hour, and from the moment the contract was signed, communication became a major issue. It was extremely challenging to get timely responses, and I had to follow up multiple times to get any answers.
On the day of the event, the setup I requested wasn’t ready, and despite having discussed renting the entire first floor, the venue claimed it wasn’t included in the contract. This led to a lot of confusion and stress just two hours before the event, with vendors and team members already on-site and ready to work.
During the event, it was difficult to find any venue staff for assistance. We had one kind gentleman who went above and beyond to help us, but unfortunately, his dedication was the exception rather than the norm. Additionally, the gate situation was problematic: we were told it would remain open if we had someone at the gate, but it kept closing, causing inconvenience for our guests and vendors.
Overall, for the price point and the scale of the event, I expected a much higher level of service and coordination. Sadly, I cannot recommend BlankSpaces and would advise looking elsewhere for your event needs.
