I’m writing this review after more than three years in this workspace, a place I genuinely loved and recommended to countless people. The physical space is amazing, and for a long time, the experience matched it (mark from front desk rocks). Unfortunately, everything changed when new management took over, and it became a completely different environment almost overnight.
This isn’t just my personal experience. I know many long-term tenants who left for the exact same reasons, which is why I feel compelled to share this and hopefully save others from going through what we did.
The new management is extremely hostile and unnecessarily difficult to work with. One example: after three and a half years of being reliable, respectful tenants, we were suddenly asked to move offices (so they could rent our space to another tenant who would pay more) even though nothing in our lease required that. We agreed anyway, just to be helpful. Just weeks after we moved, we were given only five days’ notice before our lease renewal that the rent was being doubled- again with zero prior discussion.
And it didn’t stop there. On the very last day of our lease — a day we had fully paid for — I went back to pick up an item and found that our access had already been cut off early. I was told I could only come during certain hours when management was present, despite the fact that we legally still had the right to access the space for the entire day. It was completely unnecessary, petty, and honestly shocking after years of being good tenants.
The space itself is great, but there are plenty of other workspaces in the city that don’t come with hostile, erratic management. I would strongly recommend choosing one of those instead. This experience was disappointing, stressful, and absolutely not worth it.
