Bamboo is Downtown Detroit's original co-working spot. It is locally owned with 20,000 sq ft of co-working, and filled with creative and startup energy. The space has several large open common areas, lots of natural light with beautiful views of Washington Blvd and Capital Park. It has private conference rooms, event space, local coffee, craft wooden furniture, and private desks or offices for larger teams.

Checked out Bamboo Coworking downtown for the first time this week and was so impressed. The space is bright, versatile, easy to work in, and the staff is SO amazing — Breona especially. She was warm, patient, and made me feel comfortable right away, and also was incredibly helpful in answering some questions I had. I left feeling good about the possibility of working there more and excited to be in the member pipeline.

I attended Craft & Chill after hours and had a great time coloring, making a had turkey and networking with local entrepreneurs. I will be back next time! 10/10 Highly recommend!

Disappointed with my experience. I had a meeting scheduled which I ended up not having in the space I’d scheduled due to the fact the person I was meeting with had been made to feel uncomfortable and didn’t feel welcome staying there. I was very confused with the condescending tone of the conversation had with a team member and moreover the fact that I later emailed to share my concerns and that of my client who had initially expressed obtaining a workspace at Bamboo prior to her negative experience. The email response I received was further dismissive and when I requested a meeting or call to share what my concerns were, what could have easily been addressed and done with, led to another email being sent out from Bamboo informing the non profit I serve that NO one from the non profit was to contact them other than the CEO. I’m expressing my concern here in the hope that others will not have to feel like myself, my client and her baby daughter who was present.
