Reviews
Kristin and Dante were absolutely amazing. We had booked a stay at the Satellite Hotel and upon arrival were told that their AC had gone out. We had a choice to find somewhere else to stay or be in hot rooms with no refund or discount. I called to reserve 4 rooms last minute and the service was exceptional. They put us in 4 rooms and got our AAA discount applied. The property was beautiful with a welcoming lobby and well maintained pool area. Our beds were so comfy which was very needed after an 11 hour trip from Dallas, TX. We would definitely stay here again. The beer was also a nice bonus. ☺️
Run down. One side overlooks a mobile home park, the other overlooks a crumbled parking lot with mountains in the distance. No drawers, no closet, no hangers; just need to use your suitcase. Pics online make this spot look much better than it truly is. AND the elevators don't work. We weren't told by the front desk, tho; we found out when we tried to use them and ended up having to help our elderly mother up the stairs with her luggage. The cost went from reasonable to overpriced after running into all of this. I recommend finding elsewhere. I'm wishing we would've spent the extra for somewhere else. Would've been worth it.
SCP is a bit quirky, but clean and a great value! The mission-focused crew are super-friendly and work hard to ensure a comfortable stay. Breakfast, coffee, gym, and pool were all great. Hard not to align with their vision and they certainly deliver!
The staff went out of their way to make us feel safe and comfortable in a new location after a long journey traveling. The ambiance is a vibe I enjoy. Rooms were simple but Clean and beds were comfortable. Slept very well. Breakfast was simple but very good. We truly appreciated Kristine, Dante, Miss Rose, Victoria and another whose name starts with R. The housekeeping staff were so friendly and patient.
I chose SCP Hotel because of its holistic branding and pet-friendly accommodations, but unfortunately the experience did not live up to the price or expectations. The first impression of the property was underwhelming. The exterior lacks curb appeal, and the front desk staff could benefit from additional hospitality and customer service training to create a more welcoming guest experience. If the hotel is committed to its wellness and sustainability concept, the details matter. The plants displayed throughout the property are still in basic black plastic nursery pots. Replacing them with ceramic or clay planters would better reflect the atmosphere the brand is trying to create. Our room was located at the back of the property, where there is only one entrance and exit. There is little to no parking guidance or directional signage, making it inconvenient and confusing for guests. The landscaping also needs attention. Removing weeds and incorporating native plants would significantly improve the property’s appearance and reinforce the hotel’s environmental branding. The biggest positive was the pool. It was clean, well maintained, and appeared to be serviced daily. The guest room itself was also clean, which I appreciated. However, there are maintenance issues that deserve immediate attention. The beds are worn out and need replacing, but my greatest concern was the condition of the exterior stairwells. They are heavily rusted and appear to be deteriorating. From a guest’s perspective, they raise legitimate safety concerns and should be inspected and repaired as soon as possible. Overall, this property feels more like an older motel than a boutique hotel. At $141 per night, the value simply isn’t there. SCP has the foundation to provide a much better experience, but management needs to invest in maintenance, landscaping, staff training, and the small design details that support the brand they advertise. Rating: 3/10. I hope management takes these concerns seriously because this property has potential, but it currently falls well short of the experience its pricing and branding promise.
