Focus Innovation Studio is a dynamic and collaborative workspace that goes beyond the ordinary. However, the building is more than just a shared workspace. It’s a place where creative minds converge. Specifically, the studio was meticulously designed to ignite the spark of collaboration among artists, designers, founders and technologists.
Nestled in the heart of San Francisco, this remarkable building offers the perfect blend of affordability and convenience. Notably, the workspace is housed in a newly renovated landmark building that blends modern design with vintage brick aesthetics. Thus, the captivating architecture creates a unique ambiance throughout the space, evoking a sense of inspiration and creativity.
Here, the third floor is dedicated to private offices and conference rooms, offering flexible lease options tailored to individual needs. Members also enjoy exclusive access to the rooftop deck — a private space perfect for networking and relaxation. Meanwhile, the second floor serves as the bustling core of Focus and features dedicated desks and private offices. This floor also provides all of the essential amenities and support services needed for well-oiled operations. Additionally, through a collaboration with MRC 360 (the Bay Area’s largest technology and services company), members are ensured seamless print services, workflow solutions and office systems. Finally, the ground floor of the space is a vibrant and inviting area open to the public. This versatile floor serves as an ideal venue for corporate meetings, happy hours, and networking events, catering to a range of professional gatherings.
The Studio also provides a coworking lab space where scientific exploration and technological advancements take center stage. For instance, the shared lab space provides round-the-clock access to allow members to work at their own pace. From customizable biotech lab spaces to shared equipment — like fume hoods, freezers and autoclaves — Focus lab space supports the needs of life sciences, technology, and research and development businesses. The lab space also has essential scientific tools, including centrifuges, incubators, microscopes with digital image-capturing capabilities and liquid nitrogen cryostorage.
Furthermore, its location in San Francisco’s vibrant South of Market (SoMa) district means that Focus Innovation Studio is surrounded by a diverse and energetic community: SoMa’s historic warehouses have been transformed into hip bars, clubs, and specialty cafes, making it a buzzing hub for creativity and innovation.

For spontaneous collaboration and interaction, open desks provide an open and flexible environment. If you prefer a dedicated space with shared community elements, dedicated desks offer a great balance between personal space and interaction.
On the other hand, private offices are best suited for focused work and private interactions. They're ideal for solo workers as well as teams seeking a dedicated space, shielded from distractions.
