Six Venture X and Office Evolution owners recently entered into an agreement for the acquisition of eight Denver locations belonging to Office Evolution. The locations included are: Boulder, Broomfield (Interlocken), downtown Denver, Golden, DTC Greenwood Village, Lone Tree (Park Meadows), South Hover Longmont and Louisville.

The acquisition represents the start of a new cross-branded franchise that currently boasts a growing portfolio of 12 locations throughout the Denver metro region, three of which belong to Venture X and nine to Office Evolution.

As part of the local group, Channen Smith, Jason Vandagriff, Jesse Keaveny, Kim Corniel, and Melanie Williams own Venture X franchise locations in LoDo at Dairy Block, Five Points and Greenwood Village. Additionally, Diane Mapes is owner of Office Evolution’s location at Denver Metro North/Northglenn. All of the members are well-versed in the service industry with backgrounds that range from marketing to sales, operations and human resources. Together, the owners are on a mission to expand Denver’s offerings in terms of flexible workspace solutions.

Channen Smith, who is the majority partner of the local group said: “When we were approached with the opportunity to acquire Office Evolution’s eight locations in Denver, all of us decided to join forces and partner up. We are a group of like-minded individuals, each with our own strengths, coming together to provide coworking solutions to the Denver metro area. With our locations offering private and shared options, high-tech meeting rooms, virtual office capabilities, event space, best-in-class amenities and more, there’s no solution in town like what we’re offering.”

Both Venture X and Office Evolution belong to CoWorks™, a branch of United Franchise Group™ (UFG). Currently the largest coworking franchise in the world, CoWorks’ ultimate mission is to develop and connect brands that are first and foremost consumer-oriented to meet the rising global demand for flexible workspaces.

The business has established a hub-and-spoke development blueprint focusing on key metropolitan regions and taking advantage of Venture X’s and Office Evolution’s distinctive features to strategically plant facilities in high-demand areas. The recently announced partnership in Denver highlights the similarities between the two concepts and demonstrates their potential to work together and serve any given market.

“Venture X and Office Evolution have flexible options that complement each other, so it makes sense to collaborate in finding solutions for members,” said President of Venture X, Michael White.

Jason Anderson, president of Office Evolution and CoWorks, added: “From large companies looking for flexible options to start-up entrepreneurs needing agile and creative workspaces and for independent, industrious professionals seeking support and an experienced business network, together, we have more to offer.”

Due to the growing popularity of remote work and flexible work schedules among both individuals and businesses, demand for flexible workspace has soared significantly in recent years. Thousands of square feet of office space is still available in Denver, just like in many other major cities across the world. This supports the rise of a trend that strays away from traditional office spaces and ultimately accelerates the expansion of flexible workspaces.

Venture X and Office Evolution provide a range of flexible office options, including private offices, conference spaces and virtual offices that give safe, professional business addresses. They also enable hospitality-focused amenities that are tailored to a wide array of members and their unique professional needs.

“We are pleased that Channen, Diane and their partners saw the tremendous advantage of having a cross-branded presence in Denver and are maximizing the strategy we have developed in our CoWorks division,” said Ray Titus, CEO of UFG. “They are an exceptionally talented group of people who have a deep understanding of the Denver market and will undoubtedly help countless members of the local business community thrive and succeed.”
