The flexible workspace startup Koba, which is known for its high-end, research-supported sustainable workspaces, has announced its first location at 100 Barbirolli Square in Manchester.

In April, Koba partnered with AEW for its first sustainable flexible office complex. The 30,000-square-foot space spans two floors in central Manchester. Level 0 remains under construction with the official opening set for early December. Level 1 is operational, offering premium amenities, wellness and breakout spaces. The new facility also offers a variety of conference rooms, coworking desks, office suites and studios that can accommodate enterprises with up to 200 employees.

Koba has collaborated with Cast Interiors to design premium, sustainable workspaces focusing on circularity and minimizing waste and reusing materials. Cast Interiors is a leading fit-out design and construction firm.

By putting sustainability at the core of its offerings, Koba aims to redefine flexible workspace. The firm plans to open three to four locations annually in prestigious commercial buildings in the UK’s largest cities.

“Creating and upholding sustainability credentials is one of the biggest challenges the flex market faces,” said Paul Nellist, managing director at Koba. “We are delighted to see the realization of our commitment to a flex offering that demonstrates not only thoughtful design, but also circularity to ensure there is minimal waste and a future use of all materials and furniture.”
