Not even bare minimum, I wish I could give a better rating, this space is cool, location is great, wifi was reliable, but it did not meet expectations when it came to a co-working space. No one answered the phone to get a day pass/tour/info. The place was dirty, for a few weeks, at one point it smelled like trash upstairs. There is no coffee, no snacks, bathrooms ran out of paper towels, TP, soap. I got fed up and cleaned the phone booth and the desk area that I was using, myself. The trash still hasn't been removed since a week ago, as my dutch bros coffee cup is still in there. There was also mail from 5 months ago sitting around on the tables. There's listed events, but no one seems to actually host them. Today was my last straw when I showed up and neither of the doors would unlock, I was paid up and my membership was active. I've visited several co-working spaces around the US and this was the worst one I've visited. Like I said, it is a really cool space in a great location, just needs TLC and a present community manager.

It's not bad. Location is great and there's plenty of free 3 hour parking out front. It's a quiet space to get work done, but some investment is needed (furniture is in rough shape, someone's filling the soap dispenser with water, etc.).

The space and location are convenient but this place is very dirty. There’s only watered down soap in the bathroom (I.e. people have added water to the empty dispenser to stretch what’s left), the toilet is disgusting. It looks like the kitchen and other shared spaces haven’t been cleaned in ages. I’m not sure what happened since the earlier glowing reviews but unfortunately this space is not being maintained.

This place was such a relief to find and helped me to have one of the most productive work days I’ve had in awhile. The owner (I believe) was incredibly responsive over text and I’m pretty sure she woke up early just to be able to let me into the building early, since I had calls with Europe. Interior space is beautiful, well designed, and also very clear to distinguish between reserved vs unreserved desks. Phone booths were also readily available. Some people spoke a bit too loud on their calls…but the space is big enough that I just moved downstairs. I would LOVE to have one of these in every city I go to!

The best co-working space in Salem. I occasionally purchase a day pass and attend a lot of events that are either hosted by Co.W or held here. There are a lot of different seating options and they have a board room you can reserve a la carte or have included depending on your membership level. They have sound-proof booths for phone or virtual conversations and dedicated desks and private offices for folks who like to be in an office setting on a more regular basis. The building is very secure and has a code to enter with and is always clean and well-maintained. It is also downtown and next to a bunch of restaurants and coffee shops.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Open desks may be the ideal choice if you thrive in a collaborative environment and value the opportunity to connect with fellow coworkers. Dedicated desks, on the other hand, provide a designated space with shared community amenities, catering to those who seek a balance between privacy and interaction.

For ultimate focus and private interactions, private offices are best for solo individuals and teams that seek uninterrupted productivity.

Selecting the most suitable workspace for you typically hinges on your work style and preferences, but it can also be determined by the type of work that you do, its duration, and whether you work alone or in a team.

  • Flexibility is the cornerstone of coworking, so you always have the option to adjust your workspace to match your current needs. With month-to-month memberships, you can effortlessly upgrade, downgrade, or even switch between different coworking plans.

While the standard practice is to change memberships only once the current one ends, Co.W may be able to offer additional options, so it’s best to reach out to their staff directly.

  • Whether you need a short-term workspace solution or something more permanent, Salem Center has you covered. Meeting Rooms are available by the hour. But you can book Day Passs for an entire day. Additionally, Private Offices, Coworking Memberships and Dedicated Desks can be booked on a monthly basis.

  • To truly understand what Salem Center has to offer, we recommend scheduling a tour to get a firsthand feel of the environment and amenities. Fill out this form to let us know the date and time that works for you, and we'll be happy to show you around.

  • While storage in coworking spaces is generally limited, and mostly reserved for members with dedicated desks or private offices, you should always check with the coworking operator about additional storage solutions. Fill out the form on the right side of the page to reach out to them and learn all about the available options.
