I am writing to share my recent negative experience with Regus, with whom I have been a client since 2019. While my initial contract had some billing discrepancies, these were eventually resolved, and I maintained a consistent month-to-month agreement without issue for several years. However, a recent change to a different Regus office location has been a complete nightmare. I have been consistently overcharged, and the company has attempted to levy retainer fees that were never disclosed in my original agreement, despite a section for such a fee being present but left blank. It appears that if a credit card is not on file for automated payments, Regus reserves the right to add a retainer fee. I had always used automated payments, but due to the ongoing overcharging, which Regus has failed to address despite my repeated attempts, I removed my credit card to prevent further unauthorized charges. Despite my clear written notification to terminate my month-to-month contract due to these unresolved issues, Regus has continued to charge me. Neither office has confirmed receipt of my termination email, leading to ongoing charges to this date but I sent snap shots to customer service. I have documentation of all communications and my attempts to resolve this. I offered to pay what I legitimately owe for the period I was under contract (approximately two months), but Regus insists on charging the undisclosed retainer fees and additional months that should not be under contract. I have even received an email threatening credit bureau reporting or litigation if these payments are not made. I am currently evaluating whether to continue fighting these charges or simply pay the disputed amount to avoid further headaches, even though it is significantly more than I believe I owe. You won’t believe the disorganization experienced with this company over the last couple of months. I even had one of the front office individuals tell me that I should report these charges to my credit card company because she didn’t know why I was being charged Sadly, that was advised via the phone and not in writing. Regardless of my final decision, I want to express my extreme disappointment with Regus's customer service and billing practices. Despite six years of on-time payments, the company has shown a complete disregard for customer concerns, especially from its revenue office. I will not be recommending Regus to others and will certainly not be using your services again. I strongly advise anyone considering Regus to keep meticulous records of all communications and transactions. Please note that in my photo you can see that there is no amount by retainer fee and possibly due to being a long term client It was never explained to me that my card needed to be on file in order to avoid a retainer fee. Also nowhere in the fine print is it stated.

I had a very disappointing experience with West Hartford Spaces Virtual Office. I signed up in January 2023 specifically for their mail scanning service, which was only provided during the first month. After February 2023, I did not receive any of my important mail, even though I was still being billed monthly. The customer service was unsatisfactory. They claimed that mail forwarding was included, which I did not need or request. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue, they failed to address my primary concern and refused to refund the payments for the undelivered service. Additionally, their billing was inconsistent with the information on their website, and they only offered to "try" to request a credit for the mail handling services, which is unacceptable given the situation. I am now seeking chargebacks through my credit card company and filing a claim in small claims court to recover the funds paid for the services I did not receive. I cannot recommend West Hartford Spaces Virtual Office to anyone. Their failure to deliver on their promises and the poor handling of customer concerns make them an unreliable service provider. I advise looking elsewhere for more dependable virtual office services.

Amazing spot to work for the day, week, month! I went for a co-working spot during the week and the front desk was amazingly helpful and got me set up for the day! Totally worth it if you want some privacy or quiet to get things done. The whole space has lots of natural light and plenty of spots to work from. You also have Whole Foods across the street which is great for lunch!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • At Spaces Blue Back Square, Private Offices, Coworking Memberships and Dedicated Desks can be booked on a monthly basis.

  • Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Spaces.

  • Storage in coworking spaces can be limited, with most of it reserved for members with dedicated desks and private offices. However, you can reach out to the coworking operator using the form on the right side of the page to see what options are currently available.

  • Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.

It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with Spaces, who is more than happy to help out.

  • The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.

A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.

It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.
