The Water Garden Spaces is my absolute favorite location. Toni and Claudia are the best! True coworking space with lots of booths, tables and phone booths so you always find a place to work, or grab a private office. Always great energy here, mostly focused and quiet. Got everything you need stocked in the kitchen. Love dropping in to work remotely from here mutliple times per week and highly recommend checking out this location!

★ — Beautiful building, terrible to do business with One year as a private office tenant at Spaces Water Garden in Santa Monica. If you're considering signing a lease here, three things to know up front: 1. The walls are not real walls. I wore headphones nearly every working day for a year. If your work involves calls, focus, or any kind of confidentiality, this will be a daily problem. 2. The renewal is a trap. When my one-year lease came up, they came back with a 42% increase. That's not a market price — that's a number designed to push you out without them having to terminate. Ask about renewal increase history before you sign anything. 3. Move-out is where the real cost shows up. A $600+ "restoration fee" to clean a closet-sized office that was never vacuumed once during the year I rented it. A $2,000 retainer they have now been holding for 60+ days past my move-out date, despite their own 30-day refund policy and a written debit memo confirming the refund weeks ago. Latest answer from management: it'll be processed in their next payment run, with the funds posting in early-to-mid June. Essentially a free float on tenant money. The front desk staff are kind. Anyone with the authority to actually fix something is unreachable, and when you do reach them, the answer is "thank you for your patience." Plenty of better office options in Santa Monica. I'd skip this one.

I’ve been a multi year, multi location customer of Spaces and Regus, and my experience with the Water Garden location in Santa Monica has been by far the worst. The staff, especially Dominique Carter, have been consistently disrespectful, defensive, and unwilling to help. For months, I’ve been trying to reach someone at this location to fix an account issue caused by Regus entering my email incorrectly when setting up my account. Because of that error, I’ve never been able to access my account or receive important notifications. Every time I call, I get routed to a call center that promises a follow up, but no one ever resolves the issue. When I finally got a call back from Dominique Carter, I was met with rudeness instead of assistance. Rather than helping to fix an obvious system error, she dismissed my concerns, argued with me, and even refused to escalate the matter to a supervisor. Despite acknowledging that my email address was incorrect in their system, which made it impossible for me to submit cancellation or renewal requests online, she repeatedly told me there was nothing she could do. As a result, my account auto renewed without my consent, and I’m now locked into another 12 month term simply because of their internal mistake and lack of communication. Dominique’s attitude and the company’s refusal to take responsibility demonstrate a complete lack of accountability and customer service. I’ve worked with many office providers over the years, and this is by far the worst customer experience I’ve ever had. If you’re considering renting space here, be warned that once they have your payment information, getting real support or fair treatment is nearly impossible. If Spaces or Regus would like to keep me as a customer, I’m more than willing to speak with a different representative who can actually take ownership of these issues and work toward a real solution.
