Used WeWork twice for the first time this month it seems pleasant enough. Couple issues I'd point out: 1) The "quiet" space is not really quiet at all. They play music over the loudspeakers for one. Sort of definitionally not quiet. Secondly, they don't seem to enforce other guests being quiet here and sure enough, there were numerous people either conducting very loud social conversations or on the phone, on video calls, etc. Maybe tough/awkward to enforce I get it. Would recommend scrapping the "quiet floor" idea entirely to set the correct expectations if all levels are going to be loud. 2) The system seems geared towards frequent guests in a way that alienates less frequent guests. As an example, the front door is security locked and requires a key code you don't get until you've gone in the front door. So if you're new, you have to hope someone at the front desk sees you and buzzes you in if they are not busy. Given the front door opens frequently anyway as people come and go and tailgating is not enforced whatsoever, why not just leave this unlocked and make for a more welcoming first impression? We still have to use our keycards to get on the elevator. Also the keycards are meant to be kept between visits and if you lose it they threaten to charge you $25. So in my case I visited twice 30 days apart and I'm supposed to keep track of a little hotel keycard for that entire duration or else I get charged? Not very accommodating. If you're not willing to absorb the $0.10 cost of making a new card for guests then I have an issue with that.
Some cleanliness issues as well. Stains on the upholstery. One of the U-shaped couches was just covered in white fibers - as if a dog had been hanging out on it before.
