I lived at the Skylyne apartments for 15 months. I have lived in a handful of apartment complexes across 3 different states, and The Skylyne has been the best apartment building I have lived in. The location for me was just perfect. It is right across the street from the MacArthur BART station, giving really easy train access, and it is very close to Downtown Oakland and Berkeley. Temescal, the neighborhood the building is in, is filled with tons of really great restaurants and bars within a short walking distance. I don't use amenities much, but they are great and always kept clean. The rooftop lounge with the pool is really a gem. The staff was always very kind and helpful. My actual apartment unit was really nice. I never had a single issue at Skylyne (not even an elevator not working, which I feel like is so common). Overall, I can't speak highly enough of Skylyne - if this place is within your budget and you find an open unit that fits your needs, go for it!

3 months ago, I had the pleasure of taking a tour of a few units, with Ray as my tour guide. He was view knowledgeable of the building, any questions I had, they were answered throughly. Very friendly guy... Beautiful building.

Several months ago I had the pleasure of having a tour of the Skylyne at Temescal. Being new to the City of Oakland, because of new job. It was great to have someone like Ray to guide me and assist me in this transition. He showed patience and empathy, the professionalism is unmatched. Thank you Ray for all your help.

A large party took place upstairs this evening, and it was extremely disruptive to the community. The noise level was excessive and carried on for hours, making it very difficult to enjoy any peace in the amenity area. The amount of foot traffic made it obvious that many of the attendees were not residents, which raised concerns about both security and safety in the building. In addition to the noise, people were openly smoking behind the common areas with an unpleasant smell. It was uncomfortable and uninviting to walk through, and it took away from the sense of comfort and well-being that residents should expect in their living environment. Overall, the experience was unacceptable and left me questioning how events like this are allowed to take place. A residential property should prioritize the safety, comfort, and peace of its residents, and unfortunately, this incident did the opposite.

Yes, you can certainly take a tour of the space before signing up for a membership. In fact, it’s encouraged, to help you get a feel for what your workday will look like. Reach out here to set up a time to come and see the space.
Storage in coworking spaces can be limited, with most of it reserved for members with dedicated desks and private offices. However, you can reach out to the coworking operator using the form on the right side of the page to see what options are currently available.
Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.
It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with Bxp, who is more than happy to help out.
Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Bxp.
