Public transportation here is the worst I've ever seen in all my travels. No where, and I mean NO WHERE is there a single sign saying where to purchase Leap cards. Let a lone a kiosk to buy them. Waited for a the bus I needed to ask if I could buy them there only to find out you had to go back into the airport grocery store to purchase them. Going back in, again no sign ANYWHERE, nor in the grocery store stating where to buy them. The signs you do see where you have to scan a QR code to purchase a bus ticket stent even for the Leap card but some incredibly overpriced bus, which I'm sure is so inflated so the airport can get a cut. You do in fact have to wait at the grocery checkout counter and specifically ask for them. Incredibly un-tourist friendly experience.

We were returning to the united states on the 30th of November and opted to take Dublin route. There is US Preclearence here at Terminal 1 and one can avail global entry to clear Immigration which is very convenient. Dublin is a sub-par airport and most activities are manual, many of the equipments are faulty, false ceiling is missing at many places, security alarms ringing forever and closed lounges. Here are some unbelievable things I noted: 1. My American express black card was flagged for extra security. Never had an issue with items put in the bin and visible in plain sight. But, this is Dublin. 2. My Brooks brothers jacket that had thermal protective lining was also flagged for manual screening for foreign substances. This was screened at Reykjavik, helsinki and warsaw airport scanners without any issues. 3.security alarms went off at multiple gates due to strong winds and took forever to clear. 4. T1 lounge was closed and the airline staff did not know it was closed 5. One has to walk to the aircraft to board, there are not that many jet bridges available. 6. All the restaurants are at the terminal central location and too many crowded locations. 7. Most seating furniture is dated, one can see rusted edges. 8. Signs are not user friendly These people need help, it is nowhere close to Warsaw or Helsinki or Athens in offering safe services to travelers
