I have been a fan of the exchange for years. It has anlways been a place I would start our night with friends or my husband. Always loved the quirky interior. I attended tonight for the first time since it has been taken over to be saddened by the change in interior, a ceiling falling down no more telephones on tables replaced by barrel tables that are not sturdy and wobbly chairs. My favorie part of attending the exchange has always been the high quality cocktails, dressed and worth the money paid. The prices have not changed however a much cheaper product e.g woo woo, skittles. Staff have always been friendly tonight was an exception a female staff member (blonde hair shaven under neath) was far from friendly with sharp one word answers, eye rolling and a bad attitude. Male member on the bar was lovely and happy to replace a flat pond. The woman sweeping the floor from the fallen ceiling very friendly and went out her way to make sure we were ok upon entering the building. Homeless people joined our table not buying a drink to watch the football, talking to himself and making me feel uncomfortable I did not stay for longer than one drink. The singer on tonight did make a poor experience much more enjoyable.
