Terrible experience at this center. Today (Sunday 16/11/25) I went to take my exam, for which I had to wait more than a month to get a date and pay an additional fee in order to take it on a weekend. The first thing that caught my attention was the rudeness of the woman at the reception desk of the center (not the building) who was “welcoming” people (blonde and tall). It felt as if everyone walking in was bothering her, as though we were there for fun. Not a smile, not a kind word — which created a cold and hostile environment. I must say that other staff members were very polite. Once I entered the exam room (after completing all the checks), I was taken out and informed that I would not be able to take the exam due to “a system error that happens once a day/week.” When I asked for a solution, I was told there was none, and that I needed to contact the IT department (which only works Monday to Friday) to resolve the issue — a problem I still do not understand. I find it unacceptable that they offer weekend services but do not have support staff available when issues like this arise, especially if, as they told me, it happens “often.” I can’t understand how an exam that is 100% digital doesn’t have an IT support service, at the very least during the opening hours in which they offer the service. I would like to highlight that the employee who assisted me at this stage was very empathetic and kind (unlike the one at the reception-entrance). I find it extremely concerning that in matters as sensitive as these (immigration), such errors can occur without effective solutions. It should be taken into account that most people taking this exam are going through complex situations that already cause significant stress. Most of us have jobs and family responsibilities that we must set aside in order to study and prepare for the exam, as well as to attend the testing center and take it. Many of us also live far from the assigned centers, yet we are forced to go to them because there are no available dates at the centers in our area. As of today, I still do not know when or where I will be able to take this exam, which has caused me an anxiety attack and seriously affected my mental well-being. Citizens are required to meet many conditions in order to access the exam, yet issues like these leave us completely unprotected. I sincerely hope that this situation is reviewed and that appropriate measures are taken to ensure that no one else has to go through an experience like this. I expect clear communication and a prompt resolution regarding my exam appointment.

Did my life in the UK exam the staff are lovely and I don’t blame them for doing their job (I understand the whole checkup process can feel intrusive or exaggerated for people) I passed. The entire process was easy to understand thankfully.

I recently attended an important exam at this test center, but unfortunately, one of the staff members was very disappointing. He was the man at the entrance who welcomed us, the only male staff member working there that morning, and his hair was somewhat long. He acted impatient and rude, even though I followed every instruction carefully and tried to remain polite. He asked me to lift my shoes, open and close my shirt collar repeatedly, and even told me to pull out my back pocket — which is physically impossible. After I checked my back pocket as he asked, he then told me to pull it out, which was impossible to do. I had already done everything he asked, but he kept making me repeat unnecessary actions. His behavior was disrespectful and unprofessional. He also argued with another woman right in front of me. Meanwhile, the other staff members were all polite, patient, and friendly. We are all there for an important moment in our lives, and we deserve to be treated with respect. I also work in the service industry, and I always make sure to stay patient and kind to others. If someone cannot stay calm, doesn’t know how to treat people with respect, or how to make others feel comfortable, they should not be working in this kind of job. Because of the stress he caused me, I had a hard time focusing on my exam. I sincerely hope the management looks into this issue. We are all human and deserve to be treated equally and respectfully. Thank you

Very good experience at PSI Centre at the Life in the UK test. The staff members were very helpful, friendly and polite. Quick and organised process, the space is looked after and clean. Calm atmosphere despite the stress of the upcoming test, no issues with the computers either, everything worked well. Thanks to the staff members for making the whole process seamless!

Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Boardman House.
