Joined the surgery about a year ago, great service all round. Never had any issues getting an appointment with whichever clinician is most suitable for my problem, doctor, nurse, FCP. It's great that can still request routine appointments ahead of time. Prescriptions always dealt with very quickly. Great practice! Thank you :)

My husband (age 83) started with stomach pains last evening, these continued through the night until they became unbearable. This happens occasionally due to intensive bowel surgery many years ago. Paramedics inject morphine and as it’s a controlled drug he’s taken into hospital overnight to be monitored. Around 3.30am I rang 999 for assistance. Paramedics arrived and asked if he’d try a paracetamol drip as this didn’t require hospital monitoring. He agreed and within 10 minutes the pain subsided. They did advise him to go to the hospital but said if he decided not to, ring the doctors in the morning for a face to face appointment to be checked over. At 8am I rang surgery and explained the situation only to be met with “Well if he wouldn’t go to the hospital what do you want a GP to do? I explained I was following instructions given to me. Frankly I found Sharon’s attitude abysmal and asked her not to talk down to me. She said a doctor would call back. Half an hour later I had a call from the surgery from someone sounding far less aggressive saying they had gone over my husband’s notes and noticed that the paramedics had booked him an appointment for 9.30am. Obviously Sharon hadn’t responded to them as she had to me! When you’ve been up all night trying to support someone in intense pain this is the last thing you need - especially in your 80th year! May I add that we’ve never had any issues with the doctors who have always gone out of their way to help, it’s solely a reception problem.
Mountbatten Way has a 24/7 availability that comes with a monthly membership. Hourly and day passes usually only allow for access during regular business hours.
Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Riverside & Meadowside.
The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.
A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.
It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.
Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.
It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with Riverside & Meadowside, who is more than happy to help out.
At Mountbatten Way, Private Offices can be booked on a monthly basis.
