As a frequent user of the village hotels, my last trip was disappointing on a service level. I had used the swim area, and on my return to the lockers, my trainers, bag, hoodie and shorts, was fully locked in the locker and I couldn't open it. I had to walk to reception in just a towel, to be told they had "lost" the master key to the lockers. I was given a spare room key. I left my number and have called frequently and 3-4 weeks on, I still dont have my belongings back. Everytime I call, the call goes dead and no answers, theyve never called me back, ive also emailed customer services and zero reply and now im without my belongings. Really poor from a hotel I use alot of work, until my belongings are returned I won't use again.

I met a friend for a catch up and sat on the couches to the left of reception near the stairs to the gym. It was quiet enough for us to speak and even when a small group of adults sat on the couch behind us, we could speak without raising our voices. It was very comfortable and we were able to get coffee's from the onsite Starbucks and bring them over to our seating. Very friendly staff, suitable for our meeting and pleasant environment.

Not suitable for a business traveller. The check-in staff are rude, I tried checking in 10mins early as had a meeting and they refused but willing to charge me for early check-in… Another money-making scheme. Never had this issue before at the any other hotel chains… disappointed. The hotel is like an airport/rail station people coming and going to the gym facilities; the hotel really needs 2 entrances one for the hotel guess and one for the public just using the gym. The hotel needs repair, as it’s very tacky, the seating areas near the reception are very dirty, dining area has sticky tables with food mess. The bedroom, well the Skyline view "description online" is just a view of the hotel flat roof. The carpet was very dirty with stains and alot dust in the corners. The bathroom needed a good deep clean as it had stained walls. The shower tray had hair and grime from the previous occupant. The fan in the bathroom was on the whole time as no way of switching it off. The bed has this velvet frame that is dirty/dusty - so bad. There is no air-con and heater on the wall smells when you turn it on. If you open the window (restricted) you get a mouldy whiff from the rain water/moss sitting in the flat roof. The noise from people and walking and other rooms around late at night is madness, not helped with the noise from the bathroom fan that was faulty. The positive was the nice friendly lady (older blonde women) at breakfast. A 2 star hotel at the best.
