****Update**** Today is September 11 2025, and Alex still hasn’t returned our money. The 5 star reviews you see here are literally from staff members, I know this because I’ve met them, paid reviews. They charge interest and fees for everything, and expect you to pay on time while steeling your money and deposits. Beware! ———- Original Review:: The worst! They have stolen our money. They did not have my deposit for me on the day of my move out, despite knowing well in advance which day we were moving out. A year and a half later, and we’re going through Lawyers and they still have not returned the money. We have up to 2 years to file a claim, and we will be following through on legal action unless immediate payment is made plus interest. They insist on mailing the money, AS IF they are entitled to know our new and personal addresses… who would give them their personal address after acting so shady? They also say that we can pick it up… every time we’ve offered to come pick it up they say “it’s not ready”. The owner has to sign it, so ummmm no, they’re not trying to give us back our money, Alex is trying to keep it. Pretty sure it would also “get lost in the mail” if I agreed to have it mailed. They take money by direct deposit and credit but refuse to give it back to you in that same way. They are dishonest, and will give you the run around. I do not recommend, unless you like going through a hard time. They demand their rent on time and charge for extras but do not honour their lease agreements. And they still have not returned our deposit. They also leave the place very cold in the winter, we almost always had to wear our coats inside. Alex is saying that I was rude to his staff, that is wildly incorrect and is libel (which is legally actionable) , I have said very clearly to his staff member that I apologize that she needs to hear my complaint because Alex refuses to handle this. Not once did I say anything rude to her, he’s upset that this new person is now aware of his theft. Again, the check was not available in March, and I’m not spending over $50 in gas money and time out of my work day to accommodate a problem that Alex created, just for the check to not be available again. I have not demanded anything “instantly” I’ve waited over a year and half for him to return our money, and he STILL admitted he has not!!! Run from this company!!! The check should have been in my hands when I handed over the keys, that was our agreement. I fulfilled my obligations. He says I’m the only person that this has happened to…. acknowledging that he has done this to me, and we don’t actually know who else he has done this to…. It’s taken me a year and a half to write this review, how many other honest reviews will now start rolling in?!?! He also acknowledges that he received a demand letter from my Lawyer…. And he still did not return our money! My lawyer told him to pay me directly. And still he did not!!! All of this will be used as proof in court. I think his response reflects the true nature of his business dealings and highlights that he has not returned the money, despite our increased efforts and he has refused to send it in the speediest most simplistic ways. This should never have occurred, and instead of being kind and accommodating he’s seeking to frustrate us and have us spend more time and money. The proof is in his response below.
