Homestead is a professional coworking space in the heart of downtown Edmonton, Alberta. We are home to a community of city-builders, freelancers, entrepreneurs, consultants, and doers.

Our environment balances community connection and productivity to help you do your best work. Members join Homestead to have somewhere inspiring to work. They come for a change of scenery, to keep ideas flowing and to surround themselves with like-minded Edmontonians, passionate about what they do.

All Non-Homestead members must register at the front desk on the second floor before using the space.

I was really excited to try Mystery Hobby because I’m someone who loves trying new hobbies—but I don’t always love buying a ton of supplies for something I may never do again. Unfortunately, this event left a lot to be desired. The event started late, and there wasn’t enough cake for everyone even though the project was “cake painting.” Once we got started, there was essentially no instruction, inspiration, or information about cake painting. There was a paper colour-theory sheet at each table, but otherwise it felt much more like basic cake decorating than learning or trying cake painting. I do appreciate that they provided pop, water, fruit, and veggies, which was a nice touch. I really wanted to enjoy the experience and love the concept behind Mystery Hobby, but unfortunately I left pretty disappointed. Even with the late start, we ended up leaving early.

Overall very fun experience. It was the first one so there was a few kinks to work out but we will be back!

I stopped in at Homestead for an afternoon while working in Edmonton. I had travelled in from Vancouver and needed a quiet, professional place to work between meetings. The team was welcoming and accommodating from the moment I arrived, and the space had a comfortable, professional feel. It was exactly what I needed for a productive afternoon. I really appreciated the hospitality and would definitely come back next time I am in Edmonton.

Homestead is the perfect spot for anyone needing a flexible and welcoming place to work. The private offices seem spacious and professional, although I can only speak to the drop-in desks which are also amazing. There are multiple floors, rooms, and desk spaces so you can find exactly what you are looking for, whether that is a little solo table near a window, a communal cubicle around friendly professionals, or a quiet nook for a conference call. Chris at the front desk is what seals the experience for me, he took the time for a nice intro tour and has been super accommodating in finding the right package for me. You rock Chris!
