London-based coworking operator Workspace partnered with Qube to sign a 20-year lease agreement for 32,000 square feet at The Old Dairy in Shoreditch.
Through this collaboration, Workspace and Qube strive to build a new flexible workspace for music and content-creating professionals across London. The partnership is part of Workspace’s strategy to expand its portfolio by working with specialist operators to tailor spaces to their specific needs. In this instance, the company is targeting the city’s niche of creators, makers and innovators.
To do so, Workspace invested £3 million in a minority equity stake in Qube, which includes board-observer rights. This sum, alongside an additional £3.45 million in landlord contributions, will be reinvested in The Old Dairy’s fit-out, built to Qube’s premium specification.
Under the agreement, Qube will create a flagship creator hub at The Old Dairy in Shoreditch, converting the space into a world-class music and content-production facility. This way, Workspace customers will gain access to Qube’s specialist creative resources.
Workspace is one of London’s leading coworking operators with 4.3 million square feet of sustainable space at 64 locations in London and the South East.
Qube creates workspaces designed to help creators connect, collaborate and grow. Its four existing locations in London offer access to recording, podcasting and DJ studios, as well as regular office spaces.
