Coworking provider Serendipity Labs has signed a deal to manage part of the Pacific Arts Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA. Starting in July 2025, the company will operate the top two floors of the 15-story building at 3200 Park Center Drive. This arrangement adds 39,000 square feet to the company’s coworking portfolio.
“We are excited to open our first workplace in the Orange County market at Pacific Arts Plaza, which will offer our customers best-in-class amenities in a prime location,” said Melissa Cates, president of Serendipity Labs.
While this marks Serendipity Labs’ first venture in the Orange County market, the company already has a West Coast presence: The coworking operator has also managed a location at 915 Wilshire Blvd. in downtown Los Angeles since 2018.
In this new location, Serendipity Labs offers private offices, meeting rooms and open workspaces in the lounge, as well as the option for a virtual office. In addition to the diverse workplans, members receive complementary access to Kinetic fitness center, conference centers that can house up to 100 people and on-campus dry cleaning services, among other amenities. Members will also gain access to Serendipity Labs’ national network, including the downtown LA coworking spot.
The Pacific Arts Plaza, owned by Newport Beach-based Irvine Company, was originally completed in 1981 and underwent renovations in 2004. Visible along the 405 freeway, the office and retail complex sits near the Segerstrom Center for the Arts and South Coast Plaza. It’s also adjacent to the Noguchi Garden, a 1.6-acre green space.
Tenants at the building include Clark Construction Group; software company Synoptek; Mastro’s Steakhouse; and Greenhouse Coffee, Bar & Eatery.
The space was previously managed by WeWork, which vacated the floors in late 2023. However, WeWork continues to operate coworking spaces nearby, including at Park Tower in Costa Mesa, CA, and 2211 Michelson Drive in Irvine, CA.
