Huddle Room | Expansive Shockoe Slip

I’ve only been here for 5 months and while some experiences have been nice, there are bad ones that outweigh them. I’ve had people consumed my food and drinks even though they’re labeled with my name. Staff is a rare sight, and the cleaners very clean my office. I have to clean myself. And just a couple of hours ago, a LOUD group of women came in here to pregame for a bachelorette party. Never mind that I’m on a call! They were so rude! One my lease is up, I’m gone. And if you’re looking for an office space do not come here unless you want to deal with rude, unprofessional people who don’t care about you or your personal space and the cleanliness of it.

Experience is great until it's time to renew. Please speak with management to negotiate terms upon lease renewal. The email notice they will send you is misleading, and they will not adjust or speak with you once your renewal period begins.

This review is in no way a reflection of Chandler, the office manager. I requested that management contact me several times after learning my rent had increased, and it should not have. I was sent a very misleading email, and I have not received a phone call as requested. Even the office manager didn't notice the increase after reading the SAME email. I would not have renewed with an increase due to parking alone. The parking in this area is horrible. Tenants are constantly leaving, so not addressing my concerns as I've requested demonstrates a lack of regard. I will not be renewing with this company further.

Great spot and Chandler is the best

I want to give credit where it’s due and recognize Chandler at the Richmond Expansive location. She has consistently been professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful whenever I’ve needed assistance. As a business owner operating Sign By The X in this space, I know how much the day-to-day experience is shaped by the people managing it. Chandler is always approachable, communicative, and willing to step in and help however she can. That level of professionalism and support truly makes a difference. The building itself is beautiful and full of historic character that reflects the Shockoe Bottom area of Richmond. My clients often comment on how stunning the space is when they arrive. It creates a welcoming and professional environment and has been an ideal location for my business. Running a business means a lot of moving parts, and it always makes a difference when the person managing the space shows up with professionalism and a willingness to help. Chandler brings that energy consistently, and it truly does not go unnoticed.
