I’ve used or been a member at over a dozen co-working / shared office spaces across the country- Milwaukee, Tampa, Los Angeles - and The Collective tops them all!

The 3-4K day care (Not Head Start) here is so bad. I went in with my sister to pick and drop off her child several times. I have heard and seen the adult staff- (teachers?) saying things such as “you aren’t going to nap until you finish your food” “You aren’t getting any more _______(the main course food item) until you finish your fruit and veggies” “If you keep making those noises, faces your food your plate will he dumped and you will go take a nap, that is not how we act at the table” Recently standing outside waiting to talk with someone I over heard in a classroom an adult tell the children: “stop dipping your fruit in ketchup or your plate will be taken away because it’s gross, you don’t dip fruit in ketchup” like what is wrong with these adults. On many occasions my sister’s child reported children had their food plate taken away for not being quiet and eating. My niece even told me she had her breakfast taken away and tossed out for “being too hyper” in another occasion accused of hitting someone when she was the one hit. Not to mention a child recently got a black eye from another student and adults were not near the children who tend to get wild with one another. Knowing how those children are. Who talks to someone else’s child like that? They need to engage the children VS acting like the actual parent. On several occasions I have seen staff doing things for the children while yelling at them instead of taking a moment to assist and show them so they can learn. They seem to be so annoyed with actually teaching. There is a Latin younger lady who works here and her English is so awful I wonder how she even got a job to work with children of this age. Esp since 3-4yr is still learning how to enunciate words. I learned they are closing on 4-15-2025. If this place reopens I hope every single adult there is denied a job opportunity with the new company. These people clearly do not know how to run a classroom.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • While storage in coworking spaces is generally limited, and mostly reserved for members with dedicated desks or private offices, you should always check with the coworking operator about additional storage solutions. Fill out the form on the right side of the page to reach out to them and learn all about the available options.

  • Open desks may be the ideal choice if you thrive in a collaborative environment and value the opportunity to connect with fellow coworkers. Dedicated desks, on the other hand, provide a designated space with shared community amenities, catering to those who seek a balance between privacy and interaction.

For ultimate focus and private interactions, private offices are best for solo individuals and teams that seek uninterrupted productivity.

Selecting the most suitable workspace for you typically hinges on your work style and preferences, but it can also be determined by the type of work that you do, its duration, and whether you work alone or in a team.

  • With a monthly membership, 672 Johnson Street offers 24/7 access to its workspace, allowing you to work at any hour that suits your schedule. Hourly and day passes, however, typically grant access during regular business hours only.

  • Flexibility is the cornerstone of coworking, so you always have the option to adjust your workspace to match your current needs. With month-to-month memberships, you can effortlessly upgrade, downgrade, or even switch between different coworking plans.

While the standard practice is to change memberships only once the current one ends, The Collective (WI) may be able to offer additional options, so it’s best to reach out to their staff directly.

  • Most coworking space amenities are open to all members, regardless of the membership plan. Meeting rooms require prior reservation, and private offices are exclusively available to those with subscription packages. However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to everyone. Complimentary amenities are also available to all, while ancillary services can be purchased or negotiated individually with The Collective (WI).
