My recent stay at the Courtyard near Milwaukee Airport was disappointing and noticeably below the standards I’ve come to expect from the Marriott brand. Although most Marriott properties provide microwaves in the rooms, this location does not offer proper plates in the restaurant area for warming food. When I asked, I was given Styrofoam, which is not safe for heating and raises health concerns. Despite charging the same room rate every night, the hotel does not provide daily housekeeping—even when requested. The refrigerator advertised on the website was misleading. The unit in my two‑room suite was less than half the size of what was shown online. As a Gold Elite member, I received no bottled water, no upgrade, and no acknowledgment of status benefits. Overall, this property does not meet the standards of the Marriott chain. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend avoiding this location.

I want to take a moment to recognize General Manager Rachel Wilfong and the team at the Courtyard Milwaukee Airport for delivering one of the best customer service experiences I have had in years. We had booked a room that included shuttle service. When we landed and there was no shuttle driver available, I called the hotel fully expecting the typical "sorry about that" response. What I got instead was the exact opposite. Rachel didn't miss a beat...she immediately told me "no problem" and arranged an Uber for us on the spot. By the time I walked from baggage claim to the pickup area, the Uber was already there waiting. That is not luck. That is a leader who has built a culture of ownership, urgency, and genuine care for the guest experience. Rachel turned what could have been a frustrating end to a trip into a moment that actually made me smile. This is what hospitality is supposed to look like. Well done, Rachel!! and well done to the entire Courtyard Milwaukee Airport team.
