StartingBlock has been great. Awesome management, tons of opportunities and events, and as tight-knit as you want it to be.

StartingBlock is hands-down my favorite co-working space in Madison, WI! As an entrepreneur, I’ve worked from quite a few spots over the years, and StartingBlock knows what's up. The amenities are A+...fast WiFi, lots of seating options and environment. It's a great place to co-work with others or keep your head down and get shiet done. The kitchen area is always stocked with coffee/tea, and if you are lucky enough to be there over the lunch hour, there is almost always free food (major plus) What really sets it apart, though, is the community. As an entrepreneur, being surrounded by other motivated, creative people is huge. StartingBlock makes it easy to network, connect, and collaborate with others through casual meetups and professional events. The offerings of free events and programs feels never ending. It really is THE hot spot for startups (in all categories.. ie this review is coming from a food entrepreneur)

StartingBlock is one of, if not 𝘵𝘩𝘦 cornerstone of entrepreneurship in Madison. Our company’s first “professional” office was at StartingBlock, since their location, pricing, and community programming makes them really unique. Outside of being a gorgeous space, the team there works tirelessly to bring the community together, which gives the space a certain warmth that you won’t find anywhere else. It’s really difficult to find a space that balances the “sit down and focus” mentality with the “building a startup is hard and I need a community to support me” mentality, and I think StartingBlock does this perfectly!

The best co-working space for founders in Madison, WI StartingBlock is, without question, my favorite co-working space in Madison—and honestly, one of the best I’ve seen anywhere. What stands out most is how much the team truly cares. You can tell the leadership is constantly thinking about how to make the space better. Every little detail—from the layout to the lighting to how easy it is to grab a cup of coffee or print something—is clearly thought through. It’s not just a place to sit and work; it’s a place that’s actively evolving to support the people in it. The team works hard, and you can feel that effort every day. And it’s always been about founders. That’s not some recent pivot or marketing angle—supporting founders has been baked into the DNA of StartingBlock from the beginning. They’ve consistently run events for entrepreneurs, connected people who should know each other, and created an atmosphere where building something from the ground up feels not just possible, but encouraged. As a remote worker and entrepreneur, that means a lot. The space gives me everything I need: great natural light, multiple seating options, a solid café, easy access to printing, and even a patio for when you just need a breath of fresh air. Whether I’m heads-down on a project or meeting with another founder, it always feels like the right spot. I’ve attended and even hosted events in their café—it’s such a flexible, inviting space. But more than that, it’s the kind of place where if you message someone and say, “Want to meet up and talk about an idea?” the answer is almost always yes. The networking here happens naturally because everyone is here to build something—and StartingBlock makes that easier. If you’re a founder in Madison, or thinking about becoming one, StartingBlock is the best possible place to plug in. It’s welcoming, practical, and purpose-built for people like us.

This is a local favorite co-working space here in Madison, WI. I love the community meals they host once a month, along with the plethora of meeting room options. Keeps things interesting and never monotonous. The large, outdoor 3rd floor patio adjoining the sunny cafeteria has plenty of seating, and is a highlight for me in the warmer months. It's surrounded by plants, and even has a retractable canopy for that perfect combo of warmth in the shade.
