We contacted this coworking space because their website advertises virtual office services, but the experience was extremely disappointing. When I first called to request basic information, Heidi immediately said she was not interested and told me to essentially “take us off your list,” even though I was simply asking about a service they publicly offer. Because the interaction felt confusing and dismissive, I called back to clarify and get proper information. After some reluctance, she told me to email the address listed on their website. I explained that we had already done so. She then said she didn’t even know where the website emails go or who receives them, suggesting it might be the person who built the website. That alone was concerning. She eventually gave me her direct email but also mentioned that no one has ever requested this service before, that she wasn’t sure how it works, and that she would “have to figure it out.” This was surprising given that the service is advertised online. She also mentioned having a P.O. box, but it was unclear whether that even applies to the virtual office offering. Overall, the lack of knowledge about their own services, poor communication, and unwelcoming attitude made this a very frustrating experience. I felt dismissed rather than helped. If you’re looking for a virtual office or clear, professional guidance, this was not it. Response to the response: Thank you for the response. I appreciate the clarification, however, it does not fully align with the interaction we experienced. During the call, Heidi did not indicate that the service was no longer offered. Instead, she initially dismissed the inquiry, then later instructed us to email the address listed on the website. When informed that we had already done so, she stated she did not know where those emails go. She then provided her direct email and mentioned that although no one had requested the service before, she would “have to figure it out,” including referencing the possible use of a P.O. box. If the service was no longer available at that time, that could have been clearly and professionally communicated upfront. Instead, the conversation was confusing, inconsistent, and unwelcoming. The concern was not only outdated website information, but the way the inquiry was handled and the lack of clarity from the person representing the business. Clear communication and basic courtesy go a long way, especially when potential clients are simply asking about services advertised publicly. That is ultimately why this experience was concerning.

I've been a tenant of the Madrona Collective in the John L Scott building since November, and I could not be happier with the responsiveness and general interactions with Heidi and the rest of her team. Messages and questions are always answered quickly and professionally. Issues are resolved quickly. They have always been flexible when needed and easy to work with. I could not recommend them enough!

I initially worked with Leslie and Heidi when purchasing a home, and they’ve been fantastic from day one. They have been incredibly helpful while I was getting to know the area, and when an office opened up in their building, it felt like a natural fit for my business. As landlords and property managers , they’ve been nothing but friendly, responsive, and easy to work with! Highly recommend!

I leased a private office with the Madrona Collective. It was a very easy process and all the staff were wonderful to work with. I highly recommend them.

The office space, management team, and services have all been incredibly helpful as I grow my career on Vashon. If you’re looking for a flexible option that needs your unique needs for co-working or meeting spaces on Vashon, the Madrona Group is wonderful.
The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.
A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.
