Located in the heart of Tacoma’s Theater District, the TractionSpace building (748 Market Street) came to life as the Azure Swimming Pool building in 1927*. In 2019, the whole space has been completely customized and remodeled to meet the unique needs of our TractionSpace members. Our Art Deco building has been completely revamped and upgraded with a modern sensibility, while also preserving its historic charm. Our space is intentionally designed, custom-built, climate-controlled, and client-ready so you can have the best work experience possible.

Great location, super friendly staff, and outer dark coffee. Would recommend over some of the larger coworking spaces in the city.

Always call ahead if you just want to get your mail. You will never know if the door will be blocked by iron bars, they randomly decided that day they would only be open from 11 AM to 2PM and will take a 2 hour lunch, or you’ll need to call the person staring at you through the locked door. Despite getting a notification that I have mail ready, it’s always a gamble to haul across town to see if they’re actually going to be open. Overall, it’s generally a very frustrating experience working with them. Operating hours are business hours. So if you say, run a business, you can’t actually ever access the resources or your mail. If they weren’t the only place in town that provided these types of services, I wouldn’t be a customer with them. I encourage you to look elsewhere and find an alternative if at all possible. It is not a good value for money.

Traction Space has been an incredible partner and host for our Girls Braids Camp. Their team was supportive, welcoming, and genuinely invested in creating a positive experience for our participants. The space was clean, well-equipped, and perfect for our event. Brooke and Chelsea went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and their generosity played a huge role in the camp’s success. The girls had a wonderful time learning, and the parents were extremely grateful for the opportunity. We truly appreciate Traction Space’s commitment to community impact and collaboration. Highly recommend this organization to anyone looking for a professional, well-managed, and community-minded space!

I absolutely love my experience at this office space! Brooke and Chelsea are simply amazing, always friendly, responsive, and ready to help whenever I call. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Tacoma, and my small spot on the 3rd floor is just what I needed. The atmosphere is welcoming and supportive, making it a great place to work and or grow your business. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic coworking space in Tacoma!
