Not only are the views, amenities, and overall aesthetic magnificent, the people are as well!
My team just started a lease this month for a private space, but for the past 4 months, I spent about 40 hours a week in the shared coworking space at Gather Virginia Beach. In that time, I was able to get a great read on the environment, and I am very impressed!
First off, the team of community managers here are TOP NOTCH. From general maintenance, to customer service, to community engagement/events, they are an incredibly warm and prolific group. Lela & Tyler are the Community Managers, and Sam is the Regional Director. They run a very well organized operation, and at the same time, you can tell they genuinely enjoy the community and strive to make an impact every day (which they do). They also have stellar synergy, and I often compare them to the Powerpuff Girls lol.
From all the big and little things I see them do, they are seriously such a special team that care deeply about their work and community. I have no notes for them as a staff, they’re the best I’ve seen in the industry of community engagement. Their work and personalities have been a paramount part of my Gather experience.
Second, the amenities are amazing. A nice kitchen with unlimited coffee and a large selection of creamers, sweeteners, and teas. A great amount of shared desk spaces, call booths, conference rooms, and even a podcast booth. The views from the third floor in VB Town Center also never get old. It definitely feels like a modern, luxurious office space!
Lastly, the general community here is awesome. Considering the amount of separate businesses and teleworkers here, it really feels like this is a blessed office because I’ve yet to find an unpleasant person or a sullied workspace. I’m a rather extroverted fella too, and I like to get to know everyone. I’ve probably met 50-100 people here so far and everyone is so lovely and professional. The community here has been my favorite one to be a part of yet! Even though it’s a ton of people on their own missions, there’s still a strong feeling of community, professionalism, and great vibes here. I’m perhaps Gather VB’s biggest fan, and I look forward to staying here for a while!
