Why give the option to book an appointment for bloodwork but then leave us waiting another 30 minutes

Love this location. Whereas other places feel claustrophobic, this one was spacious, not too busy, and we each had a clean room with a window and natural lighting. My phlebotomist was gentle, careful, and thorough. I think her name was Annaleise or something with an A (she was South Asian, I think). She put me at ease and was very gentle. I had no wait

Clean, easy parking. The gentleman working the front desk was helpful and polite. The phlebotomist was friendly and hood with a needle.

My experience at this Labcorp location yesterday 06/15/2026 was very disappointing. The phlebotomist who conducted my drug screening was unfriendly, unwelcoming, and did not introduce herself or greet me. During the specimen collection process, she threw the pen down for me to initial my urine sample rather than handing it to me in a professional manner. Having previously worked as a phlebotomist for Quest Diagnostics before becoming a nurse, I am very familiar with the drug screening process and understand that professionalism and courteous communication are important parts of patient care. Unfortunately, I did not experience that during this interaction. The phlebotomist who performed my blood draw was also abrasive in her communication. As a patient, I did not feel welcomed or respected during my visit. At the conclusion of the appointment, I remained seated because I was waiting for confirmation that my visit was complete. Instead of politely informing me that I was finished, I was asked, “So what are you waiting for?” in a manner that felt dismissive and rude. Additionally, I observed that the phlebotomist performing the blood draw was wearing extremely long artificial nails. As a licensed nurse and former phlebotomist, I am aware that artificial nails can present infection-control concerns and are generally discouraged in healthcare settings where invasive procedures are being performed. Professionalism, courtesy, infection-control standards, and patient-centered communication are essential in healthcare. Unfortunately, my experience at this location fell short in all of those areas. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity to improve both patient interactions and adherence to professional standards.

This location was okay until recently. First off, even with an appointment you always wait over 30 minutes (always “short staffed”). This time I had the displeasure of getting my blood drawn from the worst phlebotomist. She tried my left arm first and I heard a sound like air escaping. She said my blood squirted out and then stopped flowing after the vial was half full so she tried the other arm. She was able to get blood from the other arm but it hurt like it has never hurt before. It’s still sore as I write this! It was only one vial so I can’t imagine if I have had to get more blood drawn. I get my blood drawn often and I have never had an experience with such an incompetent phlebotomist before. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was her first day. I’m questioning whether her techniques were even safe.
