This was my first time using a workspace at Common Desk, and I will say it was great. It was quiet, there was plenty of room, and I had no issues with the internet at all. The staff was also very helpful. Parking was around $15 or so, which honestly isn’t bad considering downtown parking usually feels like a financial jump scare. The office space is upstairs, and the food court is downstairs you really can’t miss it. I think this is a great spot if you want somewhere to get work done and also treat yourself to a good lunch break. Definitely recommend it, especially if your life is a little chaotic like mine and you need a calm place to pretend you’re organized.

I was a bit surprised by my experience. I needed a workspace for a week and day passes would have worked, but I was told the hours were 8am–5pm despite earlier hours being listed online (7am-12am). That schedule doesn’t work for me, and there wasn’t much effort to offer a solution. I reached out to WorkLodge afterward and had a completely different experience — they were very helpful, worked to accommodate a 7am start, and even lowered the pricing when they heard I was also considering Common Desk. I had mentioned interest in a long-term membership (multiple years), so it was disappointing there wasn’t more flexibility. Hopefully this feedback is helpful for future customers and I would definitely recommend reaching out to WorkLodge.

This place is so amazing to work from. I love the ambience and the natural light in the shared desk area. I love it they have screens and hdmi cables for people to use. The community leaders Kelly and Angela are very friendly and make the best latte’s from the expressive bar.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Adaptability is at the core of coworking, so membership options are always designed to cater to your changing work requirements and team dynamics. Most spaces offer month-to-month memberships, enabling you to adjust your workspace to your changing needs. Whether your business is growing or downsizing – or you just want to upgrade to a more private setting – you always have the flexibility to make the changes you need.

While your membership agreement may have specific terms regarding changes, don’t hesitate to reach out to Common Desk to discuss accommodating your adjustments.

  • Common Desk - City Place is open during regular business hours listed above. For any other requirements, make sure to contact the operator directly.

  • Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Common Desk.

  • Open desks may be the ideal choice if you thrive in a collaborative environment and value the opportunity to connect with fellow coworkers. Dedicated desks, on the other hand, provide a designated space with shared community amenities, catering to those who seek a balance between privacy and interaction.

For ultimate focus and private interactions, private offices are best for solo individuals and teams that seek uninterrupted productivity.

Selecting the most suitable workspace for you typically hinges on your work style and preferences, but it can also be determined by the type of work that you do, its duration, and whether you work alone or in a team.
