I came yesterday at their pop up and I had ordered 6 drinks and had made a lot of adjustments and they were very accommodating and kind! Atmosphere and service was great despite the long line.

I attended a pop-up hosted by Hyphen Space and was really disappointed with my experience. I ordered a strawberry shortcake matcha, which I’ve enjoyed before, but this time it was very watered down and the strawberry purée didn’t taste fresh. It even made my stomach hurt shortly after drinking it. This was the first time I couldn’t finish more than half of a matcha because of the poor taste. To make things worse, the owner was rude. Since the pop-up was outdoors and it was hot, my friend and I stood in the shade while waiting for our drinks. I walked over a few times to check if my name had been called but didn’t hear anything. When a team member finally called our names, we went right up to the tent to grab our drinks. The owner asked for my name, and when I replied, he snapped, “WE’VE BEEN CALLING YOUR NAME FOR 15 MINUTES.” As a paying customer, I found that completely uncalled for. I hadn’t even been there for 15 minutes, and my friend also didn’t hear my name being called. If you’re operating outdoors, you should speak up so people can actually hear their orders. Overall, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth - both literally and figuratively. I wouldn’t recommend attending a pop-up run by a rude owner or serving drinks that cause stomach pain. Also they upped their prices even though it is only a pop-up and the quality standards have gone down!

We had Hyphen Space cater our wedding and it was a big hit ! Everyone loved the matcha and the set up was super cute, can’t thank Hyphen enough 🫶🏼 Matcha 10/10 !!!

Hyphen Space sadly no longer serving matcha at this location. The space is now being used as an office/collaboration spot with soda drinks under the same name, so it’s not a matcha café anymore. The good news is that Hyphen Space still does weekend pop-ups where we can enjoy their amazing matcha. If you’re a fan (like I am!), be sure to follow their Instagram to stay updated on where pop up locations are located (only weekends) . Always worth the visit! 🌿✨

Walked with my buddy and the first thing the lady behind the bar did when we walked in was tell us that they are cafe but focus on work share spaces, and didn’t offer service. We were standing right at the counter when she said this to us and it very much gave the vibe of, “you’re not welcome here.” Other than that, the place felt pretty sterile (no character), the staff is disingenuous, and it’s not exactly in the most convenient location.
