What an amazing addition to York. An incredibly beautiful place with so many options for great artists and people who just need some office space. I cannot wait to watch all the things that are going to evolve over time with the grotto. Incredible place and people!

The Grotto Community Center is a sleek non-profit coworking space in the heart of downtown York. It's located on the second floor above Prince Street York and that, plus huge windows, means it's coworking *with a view*. The Grotto has dedicated desks, open coworking, artist studio rentals as well as an assortment of (quite large) private offices to rent. It also includes a conference room and open areas for event/meeting rentals. The space is quite small (a good thing, in my book) and includes all the basics you'd expect from a coworking space, except a full kitchen (but a kitchenette is expected to come soon). Nearby parking includes several garages with free parking a handful of blocks away, too. Overall, a great place to get some work done!

Storage in coworking spaces can be limited, with most of it reserved for members with dedicated desks and private offices. However, you can reach out to the coworking operator using the form on the right side of the page to see what options are currently available.

Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.
It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with The Grotto, who is more than happy to help out.

Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with The Grotto.
