Trying to schedule an appointment. Was placed on hold, after waiting 20 mins for my turn, I was placed on hold again for her to pull up the schedule, after another 5 mins of waiting on hold, I asked to place her on a brief hold, and they hung up on me. Scheduling and appointment should not be this difficult. Are they even trying to help anyone? Apparently not if they are not even willing to take time to schedule. Pathetic.

If I could leave a one star review I would. My daughter is currently fighting a RARE infection due to the lack of a ENT’s care at this office.

I’ve been a patient here for several years. Needed to get a routine appointment to help with a problem I was having. I was told that my earliest appointment would be four months away. I scheduled an appointment with another ENT in Hershey and I’m being seen in a week (I’m even a new patient!) I won’t be coming back.

The arrogance and lack of compassion of Dr. Yoder overshadows an office staff and nurses that seem pleasant enough. For chronic tinnitus, I was told, full stop, there is no cure. No options for any type of relief were given or suggestions of what to try to figure out what is causing it. Perhaps if Dr. Yoder lived with daily ringing he would at least be able to pretend to feel an iota of compassion for those of us driven to depression by it. I mainly came to address any possible underlying causes of what has all the hallmarks of Mal de Debarquement syndrome, which basically means I feel a rocking sensation all the time. I have had it for more than two months. The doctor was unconcerned and he stated that it doesn't really go on this long. A two second glimpse at Google scholar reveals a multitude of peer reviewed literature, including Hain and Cherchi (2016), which highlights the fact that by its very definition, this syndrome is marked by persistent symptoms that linger for more than a month. An ENT is absolutely considered one of the places to start to work towards a Mal de Debarquement diagnosis. Dr. Yoder was likely referring to land sickness, which does indeed usually go away within a month. Had he been my first stop, I would have been devastated. He seemed perplexed why I would find this a struggle. Try not being able to walk straight or do most things you enjoy for a few months, all while feeling like you are on a boat, nonstop. It is debilitating. It is devastating. I have been fortunate to experience more manageable symptoms in the past week, but it is still a very difficult journey. During the entire visit I felt like a nuisance and that I was overreacting. I dislike going to the doctor, and I don't go lightly. I found myself wanting to apologize for being there and downplaying my symptoms because his demeanor was so brusque. Anything I tried to clarify or explain was cut short and he did not stop to listen to me, nor offer any reassurance, let alone anything helpful in the least. I don't care if a doctor can't fix the issue. Fine. You say I am sorry you are going through this, I understand how frustrating this is, here are some steps I suggest you take to try and find relief. You don't brush off symptoms and tell someone too bad, so sad. Do better, Dr. Yoder. Do better, York ENT. People spend months, even years waiting to get in to see a specialist. It costs both money and time, which is just as precious to your patients as it is to you. I've had issues with one ear since childhood. I always held out hope an ENT would help. Or if they couldn't they would steer me in the right direction. I was wrong. If you are seeking a thorough doctor who will listen and show concern, seek elsewhere.

I’ve tried and tried to get a sooner appointment. When I first wanted to come here it took me 6 months to get in. It’s like I’m unimportant because I have state insurance. That initial appointment was rushed and the nurse practitioner didn’t give a damn about my concerns. She’s no longer there. This time it’s taken me 3 weeks to be seen. Grant it we are in a pandemic, I get that. I’ve had to rely on my family dr to help me get through pain and pressure in my ears. Nothing has helped. Oh and the one girl who answers the phone always has an attitude. Hopefully I don’t end up with an ear infection waiting so long(fam dr thinks there’s fluid trapped). After reading a review of a former employee it just confirms my feeling on been treated like I’m less important because I don’t have fancy insurance. Still the same feeling. Well I saw someone new yesterday. I was not impressed. I questioned the office about my 10 minute appointment. Sure enough not enough time. Maria Novak sped through my visit. I’d bring up health conditions and she’d say yeah that’s what it is. Refused to do a scope. Disappeared so fast once she figured we were done.
