Ascender is my preferred 'Share Workspace' option in the Pittsburgh area. The community & culture that has been created here is one of the largest reasons I find myself returning to the space. Everyone is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable in their respective area or business. Plus, the vibes of the inside helps as well; The open space concept / exposed brick / natural light is really enticing. The kitchen as well acts as a great location to take a break, catch up with a colleague, or make a new connection all together. This is all in favor of Ascender, and it doesn't yet touch its main purpose -- being an oasis in the desert for Entrepreneurs in Pittsburgh. My understanding is there are several programs offered, and various bootcamps to aid in a founders journey. As well as an 'alumni' & more network for entrepreneurs in the area -- almost its own ecosystem of sorts, everyone helping each other. While I can only truly speak to the space & the culture at Ascender, if their programs are anything like the community that has been built there then I know they're of the highest quality.

Was there for several months and got an office. Things were great until I was falsely accused of offending someone or something. Which is kind of hard to do since I keep to myself. Very clickish and a bad spot. They overcharge and repeatedly have billing issues. Stay away and go with a more reputable organization.

Have been working out of Ascender's co-working space for 1.5 years and it's been a great time. The staff is super helpful and the co-working amenities are well thought-out and affordable. There are plenty of desks, meeting rooms, a nice kitchen and lounge area. But the community and kindredness is what makes Ascender stand out. The organization behind it has a noble mission of supporting entrepreneurship in the locality and it shows through their events, incubator companies and the experts who they bring into that space. If you're a budding entrepreneur loooing for a supportive process and environment to kickstart your business or someone simply looking for a place to work out of, Ascender is definitely worth considering.

Our founders at Asher Informatics PBC had an outstanding experience with Ascender Pgh. The facilities are excellent and in the heart of "AI Avenue" in Pittsburgh, PA, providing a conducive environment for innovation and collaboration. The staff is incredibly supportive and always ready to assist - both appropriate encouragements, redirecting, or tough love honestly. The community is vibrant, diverse and authentic and full of inspiring entrepreneurs and professionals. We highly recommend this their incubator program and co-working environment.
