There are places where you go to have a meeting… and then there are places where you walk through the door and somehow feel like you might actually get something meaningful done. The Foundry is the latter. I recently held a working meeting there, and from the moment we settled in, I understood why spaces like this matter. The atmosphere manages to feel professional without being stiff, creative without trying too hard, and comfortable enough that you can settle into the work and forget about the clock for a while. We also had the pleasure of meeting Ashley that day, who could not have been more welcoming. There is something special about meeting the people behind a place and immediately understanding why that place feels the way it does. That kind of warmth can’t be manufactured. It comes from people who genuinely care about what they’ve created and about the people walking through their doors. We spent our time talking through books, publishing, websites, ideas, and all those wonderful little pieces that eventually become something much bigger. The Foundry gave us exactly what we needed: a place to spread out, think clearly, talk freely, and actually accomplish something. There is an energy to a good workspace. You know it when you find one. It doesn’t distract you… it almost disappears around you and lets the ideas take center stage. The Foundry did that beautifully. It felt welcoming. Thoughtful. Inspiring. The kind of place where you arrive with a notebook full of possibilities and leave with half of them crossed off because somewhere between the coffee, conversation, and collaboration, they became plans. I walked out already thinking, We need to do this again. And I believe we will. We rented a space for our womens club. The space was great-perfect location, clean and very nice. The host was extremely accommodating and very easy to work with. I 100% recommend.

The Foundry has been a game-changer in my career. My husband and I own Cardinal Community News, and I've been working from home for the past 5 years with two young kids. I started with the Foundry this past September, and I think I got more work done in those 6 months than in the last 5 years! The space is absolutely stunning with great artwork and decor. Cozy nooks and desk options throughout. Now with the new historic building on Broad (absolutely beautiful!), I love having multiple options depending on my needs. The conference rooms are perfectly curated for meetings with larger groups, and the break room, fully stocked with coffee, tea, snacks, filtered water, and alcohol (you never know when you'll need it), has been such a special added touch. Not to mention how amazingly welcoming the owner, Ashley, is! She has a way of making everyone who walks through the door feel so at home in her spaces and a part of the Foundry community. I couldn't be happier there, and if you're considering it, look no further!
