Had to stay here due to power outage in the local area from bad storms, got the room on a Sunday night, told them we may want another night depending on the status of the power. Next morning rates were raised by almost 100 bucks. Was told we could let them know the next day if we need the room for another night. Went to see about getting the room for another night the next day and was told they will be raising my rate by almost 100 bucks. They said because I didn’t get both nights upfront and now there are “less rooms available” rates have gone up even though we are already in a room and was told we could get the second night if needed. Was NEVER told rates would go up by 100 bucks if I didn’t get both nights upfront. They are clearly taking advantage of people who are in a bad situation with no power and children and pets. If this is how they treat locals imagine how they treat people from out of town. Just saying. The room was decent and clean, but there are 50 other hotels with decent and clean rooms as well.

At check-in, staff was dealing with a wild Summer storm that had just come through and they handled it safely and gracefully. Very nice Manager(?) on duty. Room was very clean and thoughtfully designed and organized. Extremely functional and modern with great design. Breakfast was ready early (expedited our departure( and the coffee was hot all morning. As an early bird, I very much appreciate this! Hotel in an amazing spot and within walking distance to Trader Joe's, Chic-fil-a, Texas Roadhouse and others. This will be our go-to when we come to the area again. Loved it.
