I’m celebrating my one year anniversary as a member and I could go on for hours about what a smart decision joining was. Making new friends as an adult is not always easy. The social calendar at the club is one of the busiest in the city. Every Wednesday there is a social hour with new wines presented and this is one of the most relaxed ways to ease yourself into meeting new people. You can pop in for an hour and say hello, have a glass of wine , a light snack and just touch base with other members. You will quickly have a group that you look forward to seeing every week. The wide range of events include author series, musical events and educational wine dinners. My favorite are the formal events and there are many that happen throughout the year. There are very few places in Portland to really get dressed up and the University Club absolutely sparkles on these nights. Your tuxedo or favorite gown will be much appreciated here. So if you are in search of a diverse group of people who love to welcome new people you are at the right place. Make sure to say hi when you join!

Joining the University Club of Portland has been a very positive experience overall. From the beginning, the staff has been welcoming and professional, and over time it’s been easy to settle into the rhythm of the club. While it can take a little time to get to know other members, the environment is respectful and comfortable, and connections tend to develop naturally. I've felt welcomed from the beginning. This isn't always the case in social clubs and the like, particularly for people of color, but I've found it to be comfortable and engaging. The wine and cocktail program is a real highlight—thoughtfully curated and consistently strong, it adds a lot to the enjoyment of both casual visits and events. The club has increasingly become a true “third space” for me: a place outside of work and home where I can unwind, read, or have good conversation. It offers a refined, dependable setting that I find myself returning to regularly, and I’m glad to be a member.

I have been a member here for 11 years and made lifelong friends! So many great annual events along with regular poker nights, black tie events and dinners, entertainment, music, lectures, it’s impossible to do it all but always enjoyable. And the drinks and food are first class.

Yes, you can certainly take a tour of the space before signing up for a membership. In fact, it’s encouraged, to help you get a feel for what your workday will look like. Reach out here to set up a time to come and see the space.
Adaptability is at the core of coworking, so membership options are always designed to cater to your changing work requirements and team dynamics. Most spaces offer month-to-month memberships, enabling you to adjust your workspace to your changing needs. Whether your business is growing or downsizing – or you just want to upgrade to a more private setting – you always have the flexibility to make the changes you need.
While your membership agreement may have specific terms regarding changes, don’t hesitate to reach out to University Club of Portland to discuss accommodating your adjustments.
For spontaneous collaboration and interaction, open desks provide an open and flexible environment. If you prefer a dedicated space with shared community elements, dedicated desks offer a great balance between personal space and interaction.
On the other hand, private offices are best suited for focused work and private interactions. They're ideal for solo workers as well as teams seeking a dedicated space, shielded from distractions.
Choosing the ideal coworking arrangement for you is about aligning your workspace with your work style, team dynamics, and project requirements.
Whether you're a day pass holder or a monthly member, you can access most amenities. Meeting rooms do require prior scheduling, and private offices are reserved for those with subscriptions. However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to all. Complimentary services are also available regardless of membership tier, while ancillary services can be purchased separately or negotiated with University Club of Portland.
1225 SW 6th Avenue operates during regular business hours, as indicated above. For access outside of these hours, please contact the operator directly to inquire about any available options.
