I was driving south on 97 and needed a place to do a Zoom call, for $30 I bought a day pass at Gaucho Collective, the space was very well-appointed and convenient with lots of places to sit and very fast Wi-Fi.

I’m not the type to leave bad reviews on small local businesses, but this one is so odd I feel I have to. After waiting a week and not hearing back after filling out the 'contact us' website form, I called and was able to contact the owner for a tour. I wanted to get the basic membership and possibly upgrade to a desk or office after a few months. It was a super quick tour but the place looked nice inside, and the owner said he’d email me the invoice where I could pay and pick up a key at the coffee shop the day after. Then he just… ghosted me. Nothing. Emails and texts went unanswered (at first I thought he might have had my email addy wrong), but he never returned my calls again. I’d say maybe he just didn’t like me for whatever reason and decided not to extend membership but I saw another recent review with the same thing: The guy just falls off the map. Maybe they’re closing and don’t want to take on new people? I only saw a couple inside when I went in. It’s been two weeks and I guess it’s time for me to give up. What a shame. I wish there was another coworking space in town. :/

If it was possible to give zero stars, that's how I would rate this business. Because that's what they are - a big zero. I was in KF due to a family emergency for two weeks. Wi-Fi at my family's home was slow, so this seemed like a nice alternative for better connectivity and get a break to focus on work. The function on the website allowing booking is disabled. I emailed them on a Monday morning. Voicemail box was full so I couldn't leave a message. We had afternoon errands so stopped by the location. There were two people inside but the door was locked, and no one tried to help us. I figured - if they are tenants I get it and it's not their responsibility. It certainly looked like there was plenty of space available so I figured it best to just try email/phone again. Several unanswered emails and ignored phone calls later - I gave up trying to arrange desk space on Thursday.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • 1038 Main Street has a 24/7 availability that comes with a monthly membership. Hourly and day passes usually only allow for access during regular business hours.

  • Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Gaucho Collective.

  • The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.

A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.

It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.

  • Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.

It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with Gaucho Collective, who is more than happy to help out.

  • Yes, you can certainly take a tour of the space before signing up for a membership. In fact, it’s encouraged, to help you get a feel for what your workday will look like. Reach out here to set up a time to come and see the space.
