As a small business owner who has a few diverse businesses, I have loved having VIDA’s Beaverton co-working space as my home base. I’m a nutrition coach who sees clients 1-1, have spent the past several months developing a physical product (a planner that combines astrology and tarot), and am also a barre instructor at a local fitness studio. VIDA has allowed me such a gorgeous, spacious, welcoming and versatile space to support all those different roles that I fill and their accompanying needs.
There is a stylish, beautifully designed and decorated communal space that both supports my admin, computer and creative work when I want a table or desk to settle in at. It’s also a warm and welcoming space to bring clients to (new, current and prospective) when they come in to meet with me (not to mentioned having ample parking). There are conference rooms and an unwind space that I can reserve to hold my private client meetings, or zoom appointments that I want to have uninterrupted. There is a kitchen area where I can put my snacks and meals, as well as free coffee, tea, kombucha, and some low priced meals and snacks to purchase in case I run out of the house unprepared. The staff and community manager is so friendly, supportive and knowledgable, they help nourish the tone and vibe of this really inspiring community of business owners, independent contractors and members, acting as a friendly face, conversation starter and encouraging presence.
The pace and occupancy of the space differs throughout the week. The beginning and middle of the week having a more bustling, coffee shop / workspace atmosphere. And the end of the week and weekends being more peaceful and low key. Other members are always respectful with their volume, and it can be energizing to work solo alongside others as well. I’ve been a member for almost two years now, and I’ve loved it. The prices and variety of membership levels were the best for the value between both Beaverton and Portland area co-working spaces, as I inquired about and toured several options before settling on VIDA. Bonus that it’s woman-owned ;-). Love this place and am so grateful for it!
