You are at the heart of Dayton, geographically and business wise. Top notch, nice, clean , professional settings and service. Also very secure with a police station inside the building. Great prices, high speed internet, monthly networking events. Don’t forget to ask about the garage option. The place is very inspiring for creatives.

I've been a member at the Hub since I moved to the Dayton area four years. My staff is fully remote, spread out across the country, so it's nice to have a place to go to work, focus, and leave at the end of the day. It's a beautiful, affordable facility with lots of amenities, but the people make the space unique. The community-building is intentional and meaningful. Knowing literally no one when I moved in, I've since met friends, colleagues, clients, and collaborators working out of the Hub — everyone is friendly and happy to connect. The energy, especially when the UD and Sinclair students are around, is palpable and motivating. The Hub is a wonderful asset to Dayton and its small-business scene.

Absolutely wonderful! A great place for small business owners, entrepreneurs, or if working from home just isn’t your vibe! The best people, and they constantly have free programming and classes/speakers. I can’t say enough how much this resource supports our community. We are extremely lucky to have this caliber of space and staff running the show that really makes Dayton a premier destination for businesses and professionals. I make a lot of referrals to the Innovation Hub for budding small business and entrepreneurs as there is no better place to start with learning and networking!

The Hub presents a unique opportunity for emerging and aspiring entrepreneurs to incubate in a supportive environment while they hone their business. There are membership options for coworking as well as private office space when the time is right. Regardless of your level, you have access to reserve meeting and conference room space, as well. It offers a more polished alternative to meeting a client at a sandwich shop. Besides the meeting space, the intangible benefits of the Hub are guests' access to entrepreneurial service providers, including the Miami Valley Small Business Development Center and The Entrepreneurs' Center. There are also opportunities to "test drive" the coworking environment during events like Launch Pad. These day-long events allow visitors and other nonmembers a chance to use the coworking space for free and check out workshops and panel discussions focused on a specific topic during that month's Launch Pad. The social connections created within the walls of the Hub have resulted in sales leads, introductions to decision makers, even job offers. There are independent retailers and restaurateurs who lease space around the exterior of the Hub. Grab coffee, lunch, or cocktails, and pick up a client gift from a North Arcade vendor. When school is in session, guests may also notice large populations of University of Dayton and Sinclair College students. The iconic rotunda and the Tank in the lower level are both spaces available to book, so there will be times when those spaces are not accessible. However, there are enough reservable spots within the complex that you should be able to find meeting space if you need it. A note about parking: The easiest/most convenient option is to use the Reibold garage, which is connected to the Public Health Dayton Montgomery County building, accessible via Fifth Street. There is an hourly rate for this garage. One Dayton Center garage, accessible via Ludlow Street, is another option. You can cut through Fifth Third Center's lobby or the North Arcade (when it's open) to get around to the primary Hub entrance at 31 S. Main St. On-street parking is available at metered spaces, which are free in the evenings or on the weekends. Anyone can apply to a business account using the Passport parking app, and with a business account, you can create validation codes if you have meetings at the Hub with clients and you would like to validate their parking. Sinclair College's visitor lot ("Lot E," accessible via Perry Street) is free all the time and has an EV charging station. It's about two and a half blocks away and is not covered in inclement weather, but it's by far the most economical option. New bike lanes on Ludlow Street complement existing cycling infrastructure for those wishing to bike to the Hub and park right at the front door. Images are from events I have participated in and/or hosted at the Innovation Hub. If you're a business owner looking for a home base, the Hub is worth checking out!

Fun Dayton fact that not many people know: HUB is actually an acronym and stands for Huge Unused Building. But now that it's used they don't want anyone to know the historical truth so they don't tell you it's an acronym, pretty weird huh?

Frequently Asked Questions

  • For spontaneous collaboration and interaction, open desks provide an open and flexible environment. If you prefer a dedicated space with shared community elements, dedicated desks offer a great balance between personal space and interaction.

On the other hand, private offices are best suited for focused work and private interactions. They're ideal for solo workers as well as teams seeking a dedicated space, shielded from distractions.

Choosing the ideal coworking arrangement for you is about aligning your workspace with your work style, team dynamics, and project requirements.

  • Whether you're a day pass holder or a monthly member, you can access most amenities. Meeting rooms do require prior scheduling, and private offices are reserved for those with subscriptions. However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to all. Complimentary services are also available regardless of membership tier, while ancillary services can be purchased separately or negotiated with The Hub.

  • Storage in coworking spaces can be limited, with most of it reserved for members with dedicated desks and private offices. However, you can reach out to the coworking operator using the form on the right side of the page to see what options are currently available.

  • Adaptability is at the core of coworking, so membership options are always designed to cater to your changing work requirements and team dynamics. Most spaces offer month-to-month memberships, enabling you to adjust your workspace to your changing needs. Whether your business is growing or downsizing – or you just want to upgrade to a more private setting – you always have the flexibility to make the changes you need.

While your membership agreement may have specific terms regarding changes, don’t hesitate to reach out to The Hub to discuss accommodating your adjustments.

  • At The Hub - 31 South Main Street, those looking for a workspace for an entire day, Day Passs are available.
