It takes a LOT for me to write a review, specifically a 1 star.
Please read this if you are going to host any formal business event and want to rent out the Versa office on the lower level.
1. The space itself is WONDERFUL. Perfect for a business seminar I was hosting and the tech was high end. That’s about the most of the goods.
We hosted 35 people for a real estate education event. All paid $2000 to come, and highly respectful business owners.
Leading up to the event, we are told we had to pay to set up early. This only allowed us one hour to set up an entire event, not even drop boxes in storage. Everything was “no, you have to pay for this” and zero accommodation or flexibility.
DURING my event, people are encouraged to network and if they have to take calls, take them outside in the other rooms, but with respect to other people there. We were THEN scolded because we “only booked the one room and that’s where we should ONLY be”. People weren’t allowed to make calls or make noise. This was never expressed during booking AND I didn’t realize we booked a library, not a business center.
THEN on our first day… this is a 2 day event. At 5:05pm the manager INTERRUPTED an important final piece to the meeting yelling at us (literally yelling) that we were to be out by 5pm and that verbatim “my team told her we were leaving”.
This was a blatant lie. I said “who on my team told you that” and she just rolled her eyes and left. I am a RESPECTFUL, understanding business owner. We were NEVER told there was a HARD STOP at 5pm or else we would have made arrangements.
But to come into my meeting and disrespect us, is HIGHLY unprofessional.
The next day, I bought my team member a table to be able to sit outside and take sales conversations with people attending the workshop. Still got in trouble with management.
Overall, if you want to host an event here… I HIGHLY suggest finding elsewhere. I live in grandview, have been hosting business events for 7+ years and this was the most disrespectful (by far) experience I have had.
I don’t care about refunds, I just don’t want another small business owner to make the mistake I did.
