Took a welding class here. Super professional, very fun, membership is reasonable (about a gym membership) Great people. Instructor knew their stuff! Great creative environment. The owners showed up and were very friendly.

I absolutely LOVE this place. I moved to FL in June 2022, but was a member of The Idea Foundry for about a year before I moved. I can’t quite remember how I came across this company, but I had a huge hankering to create. If you’re looking for a new hobby, want to get those creative juices flowing, or just want to explore, this is the place for you. I signed up for a woodworking class (u cant use the machines unless you can prove you know what you’re doing, obvi) and was super nervous bc I thought I’d be the only person in the group to have zero woodworking (WW) experience. Surprisingly, it was a mixed bag of ages, experience, gender. The instructor was incredible (how I wish I remembered his name)! I made some friends too. Unfortunately, there isn’t an Idea Foundry in St. Petes. Try something new, get your booty up, & just take a class or two!! [my only complaint would be: I think I took the WW on a Saturday. I was late and called like 30 mins before to notify them i’d be late. when I got there, the building looked deserted & the doors were locked. it took me, probably another 20 mins, to actually get in. the instructor & the people in the WW class were the only people in the building. there really needs to be a way to contact SOMEONE on the weekend when there are classes.] A few months after the WW class my dad and I took a class on stained glass. It was fun- we had a hoot! tbh, way more difficult than I anticipated. stained glass is no joke 😱 *this is not an ad. did not receive compensation. 😂 I just liked this place a lot. Thank you IF and staff for a great experience! .

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Idea Foundry has a 24/7 availability that comes with a monthly membership. Hourly and day passes usually only allow for access during regular business hours.

  • While storage in coworking spaces is generally limited, and mostly reserved for members with dedicated desks or private offices, you should always check with the coworking operator about additional storage solutions. Fill out the form on the right side of the page to reach out to them and learn all about the available options.

  • Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Idea Foundry.

  • Yes, you can certainly take a tour of the space before signing up for a membership. In fact, it’s encouraged, to help you get a feel for what your workday will look like. Schedule a tour here by filling out the form along with the date and time when you would like to visit the space and we’ll see you there.

  • Open desks may be the ideal choice if you thrive in a collaborative environment and value the opportunity to connect with fellow coworkers. Dedicated desks, on the other hand, provide a designated space with shared community amenities, catering to those who seek a balance between privacy and interaction.

For ultimate focus and private interactions, private offices are best for solo individuals and teams that seek uninterrupted productivity.

Selecting the most suitable workspace for you typically hinges on your work style and preferences, but it can also be determined by the type of work that you do, its duration, and whether you work alone or in a team.
